Wow, so it's actually not about the dangerous Croix du Coeur descent but instead riders simply not wanting to do the whole stage and Vegni showing no spine.
Who could've seen that coming? Shocked I have to say, absolutely shocked I am!
I wonder who will first start rambling about how happy everyone is that the riders honored the race in the end or something.

Ah yes, 80 km stage.

Do we know what they are actually complaining about? Rain on San Bernardo? XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

They even shortened the climb a few days back! And i thought they were scared of the downhill on Croix de Couer, but apparently that was all just a setup to not race the remaning 120 km of the stage!

My god.

So the stage is super short now. But you know what? This can mean a super-fast, crazy stage if some team decide to detonate the race from a get go. Hopefully that's the case, instead of slow Coeur ascent and GC action in the last 3 km.

Yes, and its mainly cause of Mauro Vegni listening to these idiots and not taking a firm stance. This is the route. Deal with it.

Prudhomme would tell them to go *** themselves and DNF if you don't like what you see. Well, at least I hope that.
What should Vegni do? With a proper UCI president like Hein & Pat this wouldn't even happen.

All we have now is this French marionette of the 2 incompetent ASO clowns who can literally do anything now.

My exact thoughts.

Just fire that clown already!

I'm done with this. And this amateurs want better tv deals for teams, etc, etc. They should all get zilch, that's what they deserve for amateurish after amateurish takes.

Really, how can this sport aspire to be a top sport when after two weeks of nothing but anticipation for the big mountains, in the first opportunity they go with the "ay mate, this is too cold, I'm not used to this on Zwift, let's shorten this"

The Giro has been trash since 2020. Let this great tradition continue, because every god damn WT event is more watchable than this absolute catering and watering down clownshow!

I thought I was done in 2021 and in 2022....... this is just next level.

> B-b-b-but Vegni, the Croix de Couer descent is too dangerous. Please, would you think of the children!?
> ''Okay, we'll scrap San Bernardo, how about that?''
> Yeah, that works. All fine with us!

Someone tell me how this makes any sense.
It's not raining in Switzerland...

Of course the majority of riders are going to vote for a shortened stage

There's only a few people out of the 130 or so left who can really profit from a long multi mountain stage.

It's a stupid way of deciding, if I'm Fernando Gaviria I'm saying *** yes shorten it, of course you would.

Since 2019* the first two weeks of 2019 were so bad riders actually de - trained. The Giro had a golden period from 2015 - 18. Especially since team sky were boring the pants off us every year.
