Gonna get super confusing with all the excellent Danes…Maybe I'll just refer to everyone by their nationality.
I might mix it up by call Küng "The Liechtensteiner".

In all seriousness it just struck me as a weird turn of phrase. I don’t know where you’re from so maybe it’s a language thing.Remco is a Belgian but from the context it was obvious who I was refering to so the Belgian is fine.

I've seen many English articles when a nationality is used interchangeably with surname in subsequent sentences. It's nothing unusual.
A Glacier National Park stage would be lovely, but otherwise no.The Rocky Mountains actually are just as beautiful as the Dolomites!
I think that's usually in articles specifically about a person.

The Irishman would be a confusing one
I wasn’t confused about the reference. I just recall when Armstrong was referred to occasionally as “the American”. It’s kind of weirdly dismissive and respectful at the same time. No biggie, I should have just moved on. Peace, everyone.I think that's usually in articles specifically about a person.
Refreshing! Appreciate the positivity.I love it when a racer wins from a break! Its also a little extra bonus when its a racer from a small(er) team.
Congrats Bais!
Wasn't he referred to as the Big Tex rather?I wasn’t confused about the reference. I just recall when Armstrong was referred to occasionally as “the American”. It’s kind of weirdly dismissive and respectful at the same time. No biggie, I should have just moved on. Peace, everyone.
at least Remco couldn't bear it anymore and attacked at 100m before the finish.
Blockhaus was absolute dogshit last year aswell.
Also…Wasn't he referred to as the Big Tex rather?
Rog and JV said it was impossible to attack with strong head wind and cold. I guess others felt the same.
I’ve ridden over Glacier’s Going to the Sun highway. Beautiful yes, but the gradients aren’t as steep nor the road as narrow and winding as the great climbs in the Dolomites and elsewhere in the Alps.A Glacier National Park stage would be lovely, but otherwise no.
But that was mainly because Bardet didn't realize how strong he was, while Carapaz & Landa already realized they weren't THAT strong.Blockhaus was absolute dogshit last year aswell.

Different situation, he was in 1st position during the first 10stages.Roglič is saving his bullets.
I know this because it's exactly how he rode the Vuelta 2021. There were at least 2 MTF's in that Vuelta in week one where Rog just followed wheels & did absolutely nothing.
Back then people were also saying "oh wow what's up with Rogla"
The answer today is the same as it was 2 years ago: it's just not the right time to attack yet.
