Race 12 Brugge - De Panne
There were three riders in the top ten who would have gone immediately into profit had they been chosen: they weren't. But the following (and another 9 five-pointers) were:

Hmmm, if I had realised I was that near the bottom, I might have just posted the top ten.

Main table

BitB hasn't had a rider in the top ten since Strade Bianche, but still holds onto the lead. Only 3 teams from the top half of the table scored anything more than 5 point also-rans today.

E3 on Friday, which, as the 13th of 25 events, marks the middle of the competition.

Race 13 E3 Harelbeke
We are halfway through the game: has your team come good yet?

An exhibition from three of the top men in the sport, but two of them were too expensive to pick.

The key picks were significant, but not very popular:

Blues in the Bottle finally gets a decent score again to bolster his lead, while the visits of Slow Climber and Devil's Elbow to the podium were fleeting.

The Flandrian week and a half continues with Gent - Wevelgem on Sunday, but until then, feel free to peruse the first half of the game in the spreadsheet.
Edit: Sunday also sees the distinctly not-Flandrian GP Industria e Artigianato

When everyone scores, but very few teams score much, big change shouldn't be expected. But Peixotini managed to get back onto the podium.

Dwars door Vlanderen is next up

Race 16 Dwars door Vlaanderen
Most of the top 6 today were too expensive to buy for this game unless you were very confident in them (although Laporte is outscoring the higher priced, and thrice selected, MvdP), while Lazcano was not a surprise omission, but would have been a very good value pick on the evidence of today alone.
So no very high scores, but an anonymous arrival for 11th by Pidcock means that there are plenty of points on the board compared to what would otherwise have been.

Quite a few points around, but all within a rather narrow range, so largely cancelling each other out.

At the weekend we have the big one the Mig one, GP Indurain, which might have some riders that we chose although they are not really suited to this series. Then the big one.

Race 17: GP Indurain

I see that Slow Climber has Andreas Kron (4th), so it won't be a total blank, but I think that is it for the top ten.

If there is more to report, I'll be back later.

EDIT: No, that was it, just the one unique pick among the top 30, which is the extent of CQ points in a 1.PRO race.

So @slow_climber gets 58 points for the main game (up from 5th to 2nd, but still 89 points behind BitB), and 80 points in the Green Jersey classification (up from 8th to 3rd, 8 points behind Vladimir, but still 74 adrift of Salvarani). And everyone else equals their score from the GP Industria race.

I confidently predict more points, but not necessarily more change in the podiums, tomorrow.

My own personal update. Many thanks!

Race 18: Ronde van Vlaanderen

Phenomenal racing, and a winner who was as out of this world as he was out of the reckoning for this game (his price was about 113 % of the budget for an entire team)

But those we did pick yielded a decent set of scores:

A lot of scores today were essentially Asgreen plus some fivers (usually Alaphilippe and/or Pidcock), but a few managers found more rewarding combinations.

very close for second to fourth, and with 80 points for a win, any of them could be breathing down Salvarani's neck.

Main CQ Game
The lead has closed right up, with the gap between the top two being less than the difference in points between 3rd and 4th on a race of today's point scale.

Some significant moves near, if not at, the top of the table.

Come back on Wednesday to find out how many of your team survive the Scheldeprijs with collarbones intact.

Until then: the spreadsheet.

Not quite into profit today, but he’s still been a good pick for me and Salvarani, who will take the lead thanks to him in tonight’s update.
Thats a great pick. Second place? I dont usually expect profit in this game, just as many points as possible. Well done. What about me you ask? yea, zero points. I failed all around. I picked Sagan for some reason. And Turner keeps getting hurt. Vermeersch is my only guy exceeding expectations. Poo

Race 19: Scheldeprijs

Not many scorers here, but that shouldn't be a surprise: top bunch sprinters are expensive for the opportunities that they get in this game, and as it is not a WT race, only the top thirty finishers score, rather than having a bunch of five pointers.

The top two are the two Welsford teams (this is the second race, after Koksijde, where he has been the highest scoring selected rider, therefore has given this pair top race placings)

Main CQ points Game

Not many points around today, but just enough to dethrone Blues in the Bottle by a single point. The first change in the leadership since opening weekend.

Paris Roubaix is on Sunday (but you probably knew that anyway): probably the last chance for the big cobbles guys on your teams to make their contributions.

I dont usually expect profit in this game, just as many points as possible.

Riders who were picked that are in profit:
Gregoire (cost 108, 156 pts, 4 teams)
Halvorsen (cost 25, 46 pts for 2 teams)
Dekker (cost 3, 20 pts for 11 teams)
Harrison Wood (cost 5, 15 pts for Josedin)
Heiduk (cost 17, 20 pts, 3 teams)

and Hofstede, a free pick who has 5 pts.

Fred Frison is our biggest collective miss, he has 112 points profit on a cost of 72, or Filippo Colombo, who has 1000% return on his 5 point cost.
