Who will finish highest in GC (outside of Vingegaard and Pogačar)?

Assuming that Vingegård and Pogačar don't suffer any serious mishap, I will go with Hindley for third.

Hindley is the boring option but its the safest one. He won the Giro last year, where he was better than Carapaz and Landa and also seems better than them at the moment.

Adam Yates is in great shape but he usually fades in the second half of Grand Tours and he might have to work for Pogačar as well. O' Connor looked very good in the Dauphiné but Hindley is a better climber than him.

If Gaudu returns to his Paris Nice shape and Mas to last year's Vuelta/Lombardia shape, they will have a good podium chance too.

I am curious to see the Ineos riders as they were probably the strongest team in the Giro but I have a hard time to see Rodriguez, Martinez or Bernal getting into the podium.

I will also keep an eye on Skjelmose, he is obviously in great shape and wouldn't rule him out of the podium but he is probably still not good enough in the long mountains.

You should put the names in alphabetical order. By putting Hindley on top you help him to win the poll. This advantage of being listed first has been proven for elections.

I'm still faintly hoping for Bernal, but he's thinking about doing the Vuelta instead. Otherwise it's a tough call between Mas, Gaudu and last year's complete Giro podium. These five will probably just follow and aim for a podium spot by performing consistently over three weeks.

I ended up voting for Carapaz, because he's already been on the podium, because he's more aggressive than the others, because I think he only had a bad day in last year's Giro, and because he has a more expressive face than the others.

Skjelmose is wise beyond his years, the way he won Suisse was so smart. Minimum effort and maximum result. It's almost unbelievable how he managed to pull it off. And given that behind the strongest guys you get a lot of people racing for minor placings and not wanting to give each other an inch, I can see him profiting from these shenanigans. He just doesn't do anything and strikes at the right moment.

Alphabetical order would just help someone else. They are ordered based on their odds. As always.

Does winning the poll matter in anyway? Isn't performing in the actual race what counts?
