Just like in the Vuelta on tourmalet.27'13'' by Vingo so about 6.4 w/kg. Not the gaps I was expecting, it seems he faded a bit in final kilometers.

He tried to stay with the next best yesterday until he blew.Pidcock a strange race as well, on the front the most during the climb rather today having been crap yesterday.

He got to 30s quick and then stagnated. Gap was fairly constant most of the time. He lost a few seconds because Hindley and Ayuso sprinted.27'13'' by Vingo so about 6.35-6.4 w/kg. Not the gaps I was expecting midway through the climb, it seems he faded a bit in final kilometers.

It's not even yo-yo, it's the Sastre style of starting the climb slow and finishing strong. They should team him up with Almeida. If they can synchronise one's yo-on to the other's yo-off and vice versa, they can shred the peloton to pieces.
Yeah, i can't make a joke with this material. It's not even yo-yo, it's the Sastre style of starting the climb slow and finishing strong.
They are inspired by what i did on lagos covadonga. They should team him up with Almeida. If they can synchronise one's yo-on to the other's yo-off and vice versa, they can shred the peloton to pieces.
They should have begun sprinting earlier. He got to 30s quick and then stagnated. Gap was fairly constant most of the time. He lost a few seconds because Hindley and Ayuso sprinted.
Mind blown. They should have begun sprinting earlier.
True. Different focus though. Last year he was supposed to be good early season, then take it slow and build up to the Vuelta. Now he is on a slow trajectory towards the Giro.Blobloblo climbs the exact same level as last year.
It's been a turbulent winter for him, that might also have taken its toll. But he looks quite unimpressive so far. Not bad, but certainly not better than last year. You can see he's not satisfied with his level.True. Different focus though. Last year he was supposed to be good early season, then take it slow and build up to the Vuelta. With his technique, or lack there of, he will struggle.Blobloblo climbs the exact same level as last year.
He said before Gran Camino that he wasn't "race ready" yet, so i assume there is still plenty of margin to improve. It's really not unusual for young neopro's to start the season in better form and take advantage of the big boys taking it a bit slower, then take a breather and work towards the Vuelta. It doesn't mean much. Two years ago Ayuso was flying early season, last year it was Uijtdebroeks and Poole iirc. This year it's Del Toro and Van Eetvelt. Again, completely different build-up to the Giro, he can't be in great form now and extend that until the third week of the Giro. It's been a turbulent winter for him, that might also have taken its toll. Has he been at altitude camp?He said before Gran Camino that he wasn't "race ready" yet, so i assume there is still plenty of margin to improve. Pog is UAE’s A-team. So UAE C-team at PN?I'd say Jonas, UAE and BORA teams are far better than their respective B-Team at P-N.
I would disagree on Cian, he was pretty steady, not explosive but a solid result Kamna also very good result. Del Toro rode in control and the makeup of the chase screwed Pitcock and company, they chased hard but Del Toro attack was perfect. Hindley very impressive..I am happy that Kämna looks solid. He could be top5 at the Giro.
Uijtdebroeks doesn't look impressive. Not stronger then at Bora at the moment.
Del Toro is really good.
