Etixx can't score with and empty net in front.

Even though they are underperforming, they are still 2nd best team in CQ and lead the team victory ranking by a mile (if you don't count some random Dubai team which wins in only Algerian races), this just shows that the team is insanely stacked.

Was it Haller that went to the front without teammates on his wheel? Good effort from Guarnieri to take Krisfoot to the front from halfway down the peloton with 2km to go.

Kittel was going too soon. It's going to be a great Tour, now that Kittel can't do the same sucking he and his pathetic team always did.

Too soon, how far was it 200 meters?

Etixx are a monstrous team, but their strategy has never been the best,

Big scalp for viv though

Yes, no doubt a big boost of confidence for him. You could see he appreciated this win a lot.

He was in the wind with 250 meters to go, I think; that's too soon for him. If his lead had dropped him off 50 meters, or maybe even 25 meters, later he would have won, I think. He didn't look his best, though.

It seemed 300 meters and that is too soon. Having said that, I still remember when he was at giant, and not once did giant help chasing breaks. They only did their lead-out with 2ks to go, nothing more. He was able to abuse that way too many times.

Now he can't. But Cav will be able to do just that, and do what Viviani did today.

Its funny how Etixx did a better job setting up Kittel all of last year than today. I can see this trend continuing....

What are you talking about?

the fact that giant never works to catch the break and it had to be etixx to do all the work. giant would suddendly appear with 5 km to go and make a perfect leadout to kittel.

Well, I believe the phrase is 'great minds think alike, fools' minds seldom differ'. Which one is relevant for this discussion is down to your personal taste.
