I am still waiting for Airhead to come along talk up Andy's latest trialing effort.
Still, 102nd is better than 117th.
Has Samu sent a body double to the Dauphine?

It's was not optimistic from Andy. Definitely not. But let's take a conclusion in the end of the next week. This little TT meant nothing.

Dude relax. Don't go into your Sanchez depression again like last year.

Sanchez will be fine. Last year during the Dauphine he was riding worse than Andy Schleck did during the Tour de Suisse. Nothing to worry.

Depression?
Its just a comment about how poor his performance was.
I praise him.when he wins and slam him when he puts in.poor performances ( unlike most fans of riders.on here who search for excuses).

when i praised him for winning pv.that didn't.mean i thought he was going to win the tour any more than criticising this.means i think its.over.

according to the rabo-report the middle part didn't really suffer from the rain but more from the wind. The wind for the middle starters was very hard and most times dropped to more than 7 minutes for them

lol again rabo are clueless. we all saw riders struggle in teh wet corners and the wind went from 2 km/h to a massive 7 km/h in the afternoon

Ehmm, even Wiggo acknowledged the fact ;) And I guess he would knew because he rode the course.

"It's always the same with prologues. With riders going three hours apart there's always different conditions. The wind changed massively today.

Some guys had disadvantages on the course elsewhere at the start and also advantages. That changed and you can't really compare rides. At the end of the day the result is the result and that's just the pick of prologues.

There were Colombians here?

I bet he over-hyped a random Colombian's performance by saying it was "SUPER AWESOME" while in fact it was pretty average.

Let's make colombians south-americans since he hypes all of them.
Amador did actually do very well here with a top 10

His half Russian side made him do a good time trial :p

Amador is really one of those few interesting South-American cyclists in my opinion together with Betancourt.

I was there too and like I said they might earlier in the thread the winds definitely did play a factor. Looking at Wiggins after the race I think he was fairly happy not to have taken yellow, wasn't looking to stressed as in recently races signing autographs etc

Hmm, I find Henao and Quintana pretty interesting too tbh.I know Ryo sprouts a lot of hype which might make you dislike s-americans.
But you'd almost forget the Colombians actually do have one of their best generations breaking through in europe now. They actually are doing really well. Not as well as Ryo predicts but still way better than say 5 years ago ;-)

Henao, Quintana, Betancourt, etc they deserve some credit

Haven't seen much of Quintana yet, so don't have an opinion about him (yet). Here's his chance to impress me. As for Henao, he did a good Giro, but I don't think he ever attacked once...

Quintana won the Tour of Murcia against Tiernan-Locke in form and was 2nd in Volta a Madrid just a month ago. He's been hugely impressive to me
It's too bad Movistar cancelled him out of the Giro for Intxausti :(

What I mean is seeing it with my own eyes. Not just what I read about him. He sounds promising, we'll see what he can do in a big race like this.

quintana was heavily disapointed when he heard he was screwed out of the giro line-up. but he's a guy that looks forward and not backwards and he never hides his true ambitions.

You bet heavily on cycling? The overround (ironically also known as the "juice") is horrendous - bad, bad sport to pick.
