Not really, no.

You just can't make a sensation of him making the top 10 today.
Yes actually, there is.

Who's trying to make him "a sensation" here? Can we have a normal discussion about him maybe? He's been in the attack for 13k balls out, up until 22k from the finish. The guy who did most of the work in the peloton trying to reel him in, blew himself up doing so, and finished 9 minutes down in the remaining 22k. Large chunks of the peloton got blown back as well. Yet he finished with the other (remaining) GC guys. He doesn't have to win with a solo every time in order to have done a good job.

He looked so cool, calm and collected when he was told to sit up that it was a given that he would feature in the finale as well.

I know you like to pretend to think that an attack from him should incapacitate him from doing anything else in a race, but that is just not how he works.

Good thing you're here to teach me

If it's so normal for a GC candidate to do stuff like that, and still have enough in the tank afterwards, then please enlighten me, why don't we see other GC riders take risks like that as often as him? So yes, it is noteworthy, and no, i didn't pretend we just witnessed the second coming of christ, i simply said it was encouraging. There have been examples last year where he attacked and paid the price (Adriatica Ionica & Turkey). Hence my comment.

Few notable riders (at least i was curious about them):

Ghirmay finished half a minute down (44th).
Bagioli finished a minute down.
Fancellu finished a minute and a half down.
Valter finished over 8 minutes down.
Already noted that Ardila finished over 11 minutes down.
In the same group as Ardila, Hailemichael also finished far back.

Considering the crash(es) in the peloton occured not that long before the echelons, it's not clear to me whether these guys (Valter, Hailemichael...) got blown out the back during the echelons, or whether they were already distanced by the crashes. Valter, Ardila and Hailemichael should fare better in the mountain stages coming up. Would have loved to see Leemreizen as well.

It was driving me crazy trying to find him in the results. Neither Cyclingnews nor CQ list Ghirmay as his last name so I did some research and apparently in Eritrea (and Ethiopia) the 2nd name listed is the father's first name and the 3rd name listed is the grandfathers first name. I guess listing him as Binyam Hailu is the "Western" version of his name.

Nairo finished in the 10" group. :D

So now, what about Bora? Are they all peaking too early or will they fly through the remnants of the season? Well, they already started this at Paris-Nice.
It's not exactly new, this BORA thing. They've been flying under the radar for quite a while now. I don't mean to say they didn't get recognition, just not enough recognition. Denk has one hell of a programme. I mean, no disrespect to Buchmann in the slightest, but when you are able to make a TDF podium contender out of him, you're working wonders. It says a lot that Schachmann is one of the few examples to leave DQS and not get worse. In his case, he managed to get even better.

Looks like EF loaned their kit for the leader's jersey...

I can't believe I'm watching a flat stage of the Vuelta a Burgos from 60km out with no commentary - this is what you've driven me to COVID!

Anyway, more importantly, glad to hear Leemreize's surgery apparently went well - hope we see him back in the peloton soon.

So Molano, Muñoz, and Ardila gone home...
I am very tempted to say that they violated the bubble rules and got kicked out for it. Which is the right thing to do. At the same time it sends a message to riders that they are very serious about the isolation if they want races to happen in 2020.

They were tested before the flight twice, then 10 days before the race and then a test before the race. Which indicates that they violated the rules.
