Looking forward to (not) seeing some of the youngsters here.

Gruel is particularly interesting for me to watch as I can see him having a big breakthrough this year and he has some stages that might suit him.

Also interested to see how Pablo Torres will perform. He looked decent in setting up attacks for Morgado in his first races, and after a bit of an underwhelming 2025 I hope he will take a step forward this season.

Lastly I hope Pescador can confirm his result in Morverde.

Disappointed not to see Nordhagen here.

Yates the overwhelming favourite with competition from Kuss and several guys from climber-heavy Soudal, Movistar and Astana teams.

I don't know, it looks like a nice place to take your morning bath. :D

The water does look rather lovely and inviting, but also somewhat deceivingly shallow, evidently the sinkhole is 20m (65ft.) deep! I guess you could fit the entire peloton in there one way or another if that is where they'll be finishing...🤣

If we're working from the presumption that the organisers don't actually want anyone drowning, I don't think that would work...

They don't have a schedule up, but last year most of the stages were on Oman Sports TV's Youtube channel- and they have some advertising for this year's race on Twitter as well.

So unless there's a more important camel race at the same time, I guess we should be able to watch here:

I'm hoping the youtube link will come through because the OmanTV one I had posted upthread had been taken down by ASO. (I am not subscribing to flo just for this race, no siree!)

I wonder property values are like in the first finishing town? I think "sinkhole" would depress home prices.
I know this wasn't a serious question but to add some context: there’s nothing around Bimmah sinkhole. It's mainly a touristic spot for foreign travellers.

And yes, you can swim in there. Water is a bit stale though... if anyone visits Oman I would suggest heading to a wadi for a more rewarding bath.

Alright, everyone; time to practice your Arabic!

I don't speak Arabic.
But Veistroffer is alone with 5:30 on the peloton.
Just under 150 km to go.
