Ryo Hazuki said:rujano powers 8,3 watt per kg weight, him being 48-52 kg it means he can have wattage of over 400 which is reasonable high for any rider, he also has great aerodynamics, however his itt has become less the last 3 years. I hope when he comes to europe again he trains on it a little more
henao is a frightening talent especially when you consider he used to be a sub par itt rider in the youth category's in colombia, the guy's progression is insane and I have no idea where it stops.
Zoncolan said:Ever since he came on the scene, I can't stop admiring Rujano's TT-ing ability.
Good on Henao to place that high in the TT. With him being only 22, it's kind of scary what this kid could develop into.
Zoncolan said:8.3? Are you sure about that? I know he's a lightweight, but 8.3?
As for Henao, Duarte et al, we'll see once they cross the pond.
The Hitch said:Scary? If you assume he is just going to stay in Colombia and win this Vuelta a record number of times then i guess that is scary. But if he is going to try it out in Europe and he might, he wont dominate there, and best case scenario, there is nothing scary about having a potential TDF winner from Latin America.
+1.barrus said:great win by henao. I really wonder where he will ride next year.
But other than that, i want to thank daotec for all the effort, info and dedication he brought to this thread. And thanks to ryo for sharing his knowledge
Ryo Hazuki said:I'm sure he will dominate in europe as well, he did in u23 also. winning gp portugal, cinturon mallorca, winning in ville saguenay
he was also no doubt the best rider in the wc u23 last year imo except he rode with typical colombian tactic which is sprint up every climb as hard as you can and see who is in your wheel. except nobody could get into his wheel, he did for 3 or 4 rounds and then the last 2 rounds even had to start
The Hitch said:My definition of dominate was to win every race like contador does, armstrong, mercx, hinault etc did.
For Henao the sky is the limit and i really do want to see him challenging but it is a big step to the sort of domination i have just mentioned above.
Kwibus said:Btw. Why does Oscar Sevilla ride in Colombia? Why not in Europe?
If I recall correctly he used to ride in Europe didn't he? Why did he leave etc?
Anyone knows and wants to tell me?![]()
There was no hurry for Sevilla. He got married to a Colombian girl and now lives happily near Medellin. Pretty much he can ride around America all he wants as long as the race is not Pro-Tour sanctioned. I am not sure about the Continental level.jaylew said:He and Mancebo are two of Puerto's 'blacklisted' riders.
