10 min 30 seconds for the group with 66K to go

Looks like the break is probably going to make it. Don't know much about half the guys in it, any idea who the best climber/puncheur might be among the group?

Brandle had 1 top 10's at Giro sprint and one Top 10 result from break - decent kick in him.

Bazayev in his time was fast, but didn't show much in terms of sprint last years. Still quite dangerous guy here.

Sijmens has decent kick and quite good on hilly stuff, defo a canditate here.

Bandiera Fading sprinter. Had 8th at Champs-Élysées in 2009 I think. He'll wait for sprint definitely.

Lequatre Strong on flats, last year was 7th at Paris tours. Decent kick as well. He'll be one to attack, he loves it :p

Bazzana has quite good kick as he already shown winning a stage here this year ;)

Thanks. Any idea about guys like Brandle, Sokoll, Day etc? Sort of hard to judge by limited CQ info.
Also would be nice to know the correct profile of the stage (see my previous post)

I doesn't seem like you need to be a climber/puncheur today. Flat sprint ftw!

The fastest guys in the break should be Bazzana (won the first stage), Bazayev (won the national championship in Kazachstan two weeks ago), Taborre and maybe Lequatre. Bandiera and Sijmens have decent finishes as well, while Belkov, Brändle & Vandewalle should try and escape. Don't know enough about Caccia & Day, and Sokoll I've never heard of.

EDIT: I'm sure the profile on the ticker is the precise one.

Is different from the one given in the first post of this thread. Which one is the correct one, is this stage a simple sprint, or is there a hill at the end of it?

Final 4,5 k are uphill with an average of 7,3 % and max of 22 % ;)

BTW, I just realized the profile on the ticker

Apart from the extremely embarrassing typo and the lack of dates, I don't think I ****ed anything else up.

Also, it's a profile of last year's stage on the flash ticker and it's only 157km long instead of 228.

This ticker has the correct one

Edit: what the 2 posts above mine say

I see, so it is an uphill finish after all.
Which sort of brings back my question of who the best puncheur in the group might be.

Okay, if the "new" steep profile is true (which I guess now), I'd have to go with Brändle,Taborre (he really impressed me in the Austrian mountains so far) or Bazzana.

Di Luca for a short kick in the end to gain a couple of seconds from some of his competition?

Leaders starting to climb Sonntagberg. Caccia with 14 seconds over breakaway companions.
Shame this stage is not televised, looks like a beautiful place, Sonntagberg is

Was the stage really that hard? It doesn't look like it on paper, but the time gaps are huge. Fugslang took the solo win obviously, but there were guys strung out all over the place behind him and most of the peleton finished 34 minutes down.

Thanks Fetisofffor the updates.

NP. Following the ticker was no less exciting than following the TDF stage :)

GC group yet to finish, too bad the ticker seemed to be more lively (more updates) with 30km to go than it is now

Edit: Padrilla first among the group of favourites. Fuglsang takes more time on Rohregger and Vrecer, with Rohregger taking over 4th overall from Vrecer
