"I start the race without pressure, but I know my form is good enough to get into the top-10. I will also be happy to help another rider, such as Maxime Monfort, Jens Voigt or Jakob Fuglsang.
To be honest, I haven't had time to look at the other riders yet, but I think Jurgen Van den Broeck will be very good. I would have said Robert Gesink, but he is doing Tirreno-Adriatico. Therefore I predict guys like Van Garderen, Chavanel, Kreuziger, Vinokourov. It won't be a pure climber. But for me, top-10 would be nice."

That maybe so, but you're badly informed if you think Gesink starts here.El Pistolero said:Rabo better support Lulu.
He's better than Gesink in such a stage race in my opinion.

It's known for months already Sanchez will do Paris Nice and Gesink the Tirreno.

That final climb where Ignatiev won last year is back. And there's a 240 km to Chieti which seems quite climby near the finish. But he's mainly there to improve his explosiveness, like he was the last two years.Mellow Velo said:An odd choice.
Maybe they have spotted some climbs in the Tirreno profile that I've missed.

The Paris-Nice course doesn't seem difficult enough to make a real difference either, so he might as well do the Tirreno.
Exactly, let's not be hypocrites now.El Pistolero said:No, I just don't follow Gesink like at all except in the races I watch. But Rabobank usually favors their Dutch riders over other nationalities. God knows why Freire is still with Rabo, but he seems to do well.
And yes OPL does that as well before you start bringing Belgium up again![]()
Just good preparation for the ardennes. Only the finish in Macerata could be something for him, but even that is I think to easy/too explosive. Probably end up somewhere between 5th and 15thMellow Velo said:An odd choice.

"As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of involving Rabobank or Robert Gesink approaches 1. In other words, Godwin put forth the sarcastic observation that, given enough time, all discussions—regardless of topic or scope—inevitably wind up being about Rabobank and Robert Gesink
maltiv said:Last year when Sky entered Paris-Nice they didn't have a single candidate for the GC. This year they have 3: Wiggins, Rogers (although I am not sure about his form) and Uran. I also have a feeling that Geraint Thomas will do well. Looks like an extremely strong team at least, will be interesting to see their tactic.
