Strong attempt from Moscon. Mark him tomorrow..

Van Poppel with a quite easy one today. After his transfert, his season couldn't start any better!

@Jspear : you were right, I totally forgot about Trentin injury. Otherwise I think he'd have been the clear favorite.

BTW, which of the pink mushrooms crashed?

From EF Twitter: #VCV2017: Quick crash update. We had @Tomvanasbroeck and @SachaModolo go down in that last crash around the 3km mark. Both were able to finish the stage. Sacha fared better than TVA. Injury info coming from our medical staff when we have it.

Modolo apparently.

I would take DFA's word as gospel when it comes to climbs around this area. When he said that about Garbí in last year's Vuelta, i thought to myself the riders would be insane to go that far out, but then Contador happened. Obviously we don't have Contador, and its early in the season, but Garbí is pretty brutal, especially if raced hard. Gaps will probably open. Also, since I am following him on Strava, my guess would be that he has climbed those climbs in the Valencia-region one or two times...

To the likes of LS and others who know a lot about the Spanish scene: Who to look out for on Fundación Euskadi in Valenciana and just in generel? I know very little about that team. Ibai Azumendia looks kinda promising?
