He really seems completely useless when he has to carry the burden that is called leadership, as well as being as inconsistent as they come. Doubt Sky will ever consider sending him to a GT with the lead role. All of Moscon, Rosa and DLC performed better than him today. How?portugal11 said:typical poels...

Calm down, it's the 3rd of February...
Porte-tier. Is that the level above Spilak-tier?WheelofGear said:Lol, Valverde was toying with the rest.
In one week races, he is still Porte-tier.

Valverde is more versatile. Better when it gets really steep, on shorter hills, better sprinter.. but Porte on a 7-8% gradient is almost impossible to beat.Valv.Piti said:Porte is undoubtedly a great one week rider, but I still take Alejandro over him on 75% of the routes. Only something like Dauphine and some Romandie-routes I'd take Porte over him. Valverde being so extremely versatile tips the scales in favour of him, altho Porte's 10 min climbing efforts probably still is the best in the world.
Don't complain.WheelofGear said:And what the hell happened to Sky? No riders in top 10.
Yeah, I know. Great team effort. Poels (who was supposed to be the leader) was disappointing though.TourOfSardinia said:Don't complain.WheelofGear said:And what the hell happened to Sky? No riders in top 10.
They played their cards entertainingly.
Another day it could turn out better.

Sanchez rode for Fuglsang in the last couple of K's but was still better. Fuglsang is just not explosive enough. It's his main weakness.

Weird times. Many of those names finished in clusters that should be awarded s.t.WheelofGear said:1 Alejandro Valverde (Spa) Movistar Team 4:48:35
