It does show that in modern cycling when strong riders get a gap, it sticks. No matter how far out they are. The chasers just squabble and make a mess of things behind.

I would let Jorgenson go if I was Powless. But they’re just gonna ride untill the sprint.

Brian Holm thinks Powless has a 10% chance of winning.

Jesus... At least he didn't say 25%.
Do you think his chances are less than 5 %? I think 10 % is quite reasonable, as Jorgenson and Benoot have worked a lot, so I don't think they can get away from Powless (if he is attentive). And Van Aert's sprint is a bit of a question mark, and who knows how he is feeling right now.

A shame Van Baarle didn't make the front group. The others clearly don't know the art of letting a wheel go.

So are Visma actually not going to try and play the numbers game and instead try to hand it to Van Aert in a sprint? You know, the one scenario that might go wrong?
I think that's the best / most controllable situation, but also the best chance for Powless.
It's good for the race, in any way. I don't mind any of those guys in front winning.
