Could not agree more. Don’t know what he was doing, he should have dropped the pace until 0, because someone else would definitely have taken the front.

Anyway I am very happy with his mistake. Because now GHIRMAY has won! Which is just amazing for himself and for his country!
 
Fantastic from Ghirmay, Alpecin have to ask themselves why they didn't contribute to the chase more with Merlier winning the bunch sprint. Felt like Max Kanter was pulling the group for ages (why exactly?).
Kanter was probably cooked and his teammate Cortina did finish 3rd in the bunch sprint, so it wasn't that bad. Alpecin should have invested more into the chase.
