Looking at the results, I don't understand why nobody chased. Bike exchange, EF, Bahrain, Alpecin, Wanty all could have. Instead they give away a win.
Great win by Leknessund he raced very well
Jokes aside, beating those guys in a sprint means he's finally finding his legs after 4 months of nothing.Bettiol: "I celebrated because I thought I won but also because I did a very good sprint beating some big names"![]()
Because they all did t realize Leknessund was up ahead of the break group??Looking at the results, I don't understand why nobody chased. Bike exchange, EF, Bahrain, Alpecin, Wanty all could have. Instead they give away a win.

My guess is no because otherwise I would expect atleast some secondary rider to have attacked on the final climb.I'd like to know now, did other teams think like EF?
He was mainly cheering because he knew they were getting his favourite pudding as desert at dinner tonight. But also a bit because he thought he won.Bettiol: "I celebrated because I thought I won but also because I did a very good sprint beating some big names"![]()
Don't think so. For one we would've seen more attacks on the climb and I also saw multiple guys looking at Bettiol celebrating with a "What the hell are you doing" expression, so it seems like this was mainly an EF communication issue(?). His teammates also celebrated shortly.I'd like to know now, did other teams think like EF?
How do they not have access to this information.Because they all did t realize Leknessund was up ahead of the break group??
Bettiol points to his radio ("You see my radio is...") in the interview, but they probably didn't all melt in the heatHow do they not have access to this information.
Nah, Bettiol probably just wanted to pay tribute to the guy in your AV.How do they not have access to this information.
I have no idea, and it’s unlikely that was true for many teams. But if it happened at the women’s Olympic road race I guess it can happen elsewhere (unless folks think that was a specific kind of RaboFailHow do they not have access to this information.
Well, while that was even funnier they didn't have radios in that race which makes it slightly more understandable. This one tho? Leknessund was clear the last 20 minutes, plenty of time for their DS to pass on the message.I have no idea, and it’s unlikely that was true for many teams.
