My guess is no because otherwise I would expect atleast some secondary rider to have attacked on the final climb.

He was mainly cheering because he knew they were getting his favourite pudding as desert at dinner tonight. But also a bit because he thought he won.

Don't think so. For one we would've seen more attacks on the climb and I also saw multiple guys looking at Bettiol celebrating with a "What the hell are you doing" expression, so it seems like this was mainly an EF communication issue(?). His teammates also celebrated shortly.

Well, while that was even funnier they didn't have radios in that race which makes it slightly more understandable. This one tho? Leknessund was clear the last 20 minutes, plenty of time for their DS to pass on the message.
