They're playing a really risky game right now tho. There's like 60 riders left in the bunch and some GC teams don't even have domestics anymore in the race.

Good for the race with a big break and small peloton.

Pinot and Masnada might have a chance for the GC.

Not sure if such a reduced peloton can go that much faster without running out of domestiques too early, at best there are three teams who might ride and none of them are complete. This was a possibility the moment this break got up the road.

Hi Logic. I wonder if Van Wilder had not been caught up in that crash in an earlier stage and had been in the top of the standings now, would Masnada be working for him? Van Wilder's form seems to be back since he broke his jaw.

No his form is not back. I heard he has said that he felt this week (even without that crash) that he was not where he wanted to be yet.
