My perception is that Ayuso is a monster cimber, with a climber's build, lithe and lanky. Evenepoel seems rather a compact diesel, who may have a disadvantage on multiple, high col stages against guys like him, Vingeggard and Pog in the future. But, of course, the full story is yet to be written.
I've always thought Remco had a Roglic-type build, just a little shorter. They both are a bit more compact and have those huge thighs that aren't as common in GC riders.

Are we sure about that? The only time they've gone head to head is in the 1st TT of this race and he only beat Ayuso by 6 seconds.

Also, not sure why Ayuso was tapping his helmet at the finish. He sat up and lost several seconds at the end to a Skjelmose group that was sprinting all out in a race that might be decided by seconds in the TT.
Clearly tapping on his helmet was a symbol for the strength of his head, while touching his calf was an indication of the strength of his legs. So "head" and "legs" netted him the win today, head because of everything he's been through since third in last year's Vuelta, legs because he had a leg problem and this kid's got talent to sell.

Wasn't he signalling that he had overcome his injury by pointing at his head and his lower leg?
I understand the leg part but why point to his head? Usually that means you're referring to using your head and racing smart. I just thought it was funny to hear him talk about guys possibly racing for bonus seconds tomorrow when he just threw away several by not racing to the line.

No, it's a strong-willed mind overcoming adversity.

You could see the flags on the summit which showed a pretty serious tailwind behind the riders (& Hatch even noted that would favor the attackers).

Nah Roglic is a bit wide but not that stocky, if you look at him from the side he's pretty narrow I think. I just think his deeper upper body position makes and the black bibs make him look bigger than he is.

Yikes, that sounds bad. Sheffield sounds like normal injuries at least, so here's hoping Mader will be similar.

I'm hoping that at least the doctor was there quicker with him as he was already coming to Sheffield's aid.
