People say the team presentations are dull but i like them ( i like anything which promotes cycling).

Any chance of a recording of this surfacing later?

That 50 minute Giro video doesnt sound half bad either.

Well, you may get the team presentation, if one of the RAITRE links actually work......
http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=116509&part=sports

.....which I doubt.

Steephill say they will have a live feed available:
http://www.steephill.tv/giro-d-italia/
I wonder if Gazetta tv's live feed will be covering it?
Dim????

now seriously tho its to thought to pick just 1 girl

anyway back on topic

on the verbier stage in 2009 nibali was third behind contador and andy schleck roughly 1 minute behind contador and only 15 secs behind andy. i think we all agree that contador was on his top form back then and nibali is no doubt better now then he was back then. so maybe he can actually put up some fight to contador. at least i wouldn't put him behind scarponi, menchov and anton like most people do here.

and yes i know its a different type of mountains

And despite the relatively small time gaps between the two, Nibali was never at the head of the race when the matters were being contested--at least not that I recall. In 2009, it was a Schleck Brother and Contador affair, with a sprinkling of Armstrong and Wiggins.

Scarlett is the one. Or maybe Rihanna.

Not sure about Nibali. He won't be right up with AC, Anton, Scarponi and J-Rod, but he can grind up and limit his losses.
Last year he was either equal or a bit behind Scarponi, and lost a couple of smidges of time to Rodriguez in the Vuelta.
I can't see him losing a great deal of time. Except to Contador.

It would be nice if the final TT could be really windy or something so that the gaps would be a bit bigger. Not likely in Milan though.

Has the team presentation been? Sorry, haven't paid much attention in the past few days.

Average age is 24.6 years (only using years not months). Frank and tschopp for the breaks on the climbs. Kristoff and Wyss for sprints. Beyer, Butler and Barton, Zahner and Kohler for breaks to attack.

Frank and Tschopp are the only ones that will finsih the race for BMC. Sorry to say it but if Beyer, Butler, Barton, Kristoff and Wyss finish the race I will be surprised. Zahner and Kohler may hold on. I see you finishing with no more than 4 riders.

He did do a lot of hanging around for Basso. However this course suits him far less than last year.

Why is Visconti down to wear #150 rather than #151 ? Does this mean that a rider could opt to wear #0 instead of #1 ?

He is the italian champion, and RCS gave him 150 in order to celebrate the 150th of Italian state.

The biggest disapointment is that the Finnestre descent is so short. I was hoping they would go down the same mountain they climb, but instead its a tiny drop before the high grades resume on Sestrieres.

In 2005 was that descent everyone loves so much down the whole mountain or similarly as short as this one?

if we're talking about visconti let's talk a little bit about pressure.can you imagine it?huuuuuge.150 years of united italy, this guy must do anything to win a stage in maglia tricolore, anything!
last year, the italian journalists asked pippo before almost every stage:"e pippo is this stage tailor made for you?can you win it?"this year it will be worse.

That would be the same, short descent that saved Savoldelli's Giro.

Rai (Sport 1) has been Giroing all afternoon. Live from the start town. Lots of unfathomable chat, teams on the TT course etc and this, rather splendid 2010 Giro film.
As each stage was wheel out, one realizes there wasn't a single, forgettable stage.
