Does anyone know if Saxo will bring Beltran? Would be quite interesting to see how he performs and guessing this kind of race might suit him.

no he won't

I don't understand what Wiggins is doing here. Occupy a spot for nothing. Or maybe he is the designated bottle carrier ? Oh i see, he will stay at the front when it's flat ;)

He has been pretty good so far, did you see him ride in Ruta de Sol?

If he is going to do the Tour then he needs some racing with Froome and Porte. He is still a more than useful domestique and will if Froome attacks and gains the lead on day 3's MTF then they will still have 4 tough days to control and Wiggins is more than good enough for that.

I think some Velasco fans like myself will have a shock with a reality called Froome! Anyway, I doubt we'll get to see a stage as good as the one Contador took in Guardiagrele. We never know though will that ridiculous field of climbers. Sprinters wise, it's really poor though: if I had a decent sprinter on my team, he would definitely ride this and Poland: the easiest WT points to get if you're a sprinter.

I think Contador will give Froome a run for his money. Contador is better than we've seen him since 2011 and Froome has had problems with his bag. We're in for a treat under any circumstances.

Should be a fun matchup, Froome is in great form also in Oman.

no not really. I think we have at least a little fight more than walk in the park. That's all.

Well, my newly edited PCM saves gives me an AC on 82 Mountain, while Froome is 83. Gonna be tight :p

Considering we are in classics season I haven't looked forward to a stage-race this much in a long time! Contador has laid down a marker with is impressive TA win and now can Froome respond? He certainly showed he means business again in Oman but will his injury have knocked him off the pace a little?

Add to this the likes of Quintana who never pulls out of an attack and other top climbers who will all be in the hunt for stage wins and its mouth-wateringly good!

For goodness sake. Wiggins has pulled out to do 'a block of climbing based training' rather than race with froome

Maybe they realized what even a noob can see, that Wiggins has no business in Catalunya, at this point.

Thank you for the link:)
Im pretty surprised that so many people think that the back "injury" will affect Froome. As for me I think it wasnt serious, they just want to be sure that Froome is 100%.
So I think he will be in good shape.

Let the battle begins:)
