Jonathan Vaughters tweets:

"Before everyone is overjoyed with their judgements: we had no one left to ride. That was Tyler asking me if he shd pull as a last ditch."

How is that possible where were Thor and Haussler, massive fail from Garmin today

Chav did nothing? You weren't watching today's race I see.

What I mean is he just sitting on cancellara wheels, that really pi$sed me off.. He could do better..

Chavanel deserved it more, he went on the attack with about 80km to go, and he's worked his backside off as well. Not to take anything away from Nick Nuyens.

Gutted for Chavanel, he deserved it most, brillant today!!

No way. If anyone deserved that race it was Canc. That said I'm glad he didn't win from a 60k break. I'm still amazed Canc was able to force the winning break after that long solo. The guy has really rubbed me wrong the last several months but he really deserved to win that. He even led out...

Sitting on Fabian's wheel is quite an achievement if you ask me...

Um, that is a bit of revisionist history there JV. HE told them to stop working. Period. They "had no one left to ride"...yea, because you told them to be wimpy wheelsuckers instead of riding like men.

One of the best races I've ever seen. I was rooting for Chavanel the entire time too.

Don't fault Farrar, JV was the A-hole on the Garmin side.

Great race.

Riis sure knows how to pull out surprises.

Sky just had Flecha and Thomas and they rode their asses off and ended up in the lead group with 5km to go. JV does not have a leg to stand on. This isn't a GT, it's the goddamn Ronde. The reason you have protected riders is so that in the last 50km when it is down to just the favourites they are fresh and they can ride on the front.

I am betting that is the last time we will see images broadcast from the Garmin team car.
