Nuyens was OK, Cancellara was sweving into Chavanel. That's what threw him off.

Sky once again with a great race but without getting anything out of it. Garmin-Cervelo the biggest failure of the year.

Does anyone feel slightly cheated that Gilbert didn't win in the end? He was very strong today. Dang it.

Gilbert attacked on one hill, then (as i predicted) collapsed the minute the road stopped going up.

Maybe you mean Cancellara who ittd for 40k.

Well there is that too. That really ticked me off. It's clear that they made some sort of a deal with about 3km to go, and then when Chavanel saw Canc was toast, he decided all bets were off.
