corrected it for you.
Don't you remember the rain and snow during the edition of 2008?
3 years are years...and a long time to me.

I don't see the point of that correction..but ok

Now I'm all excited and thinking about last year (which was a great race).

Here's a killer photo set from smashred on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/smashred/sets/72157623649762413/with/4493262994/

Cool stuff, didn't realise Gilbert's bike was a special cobblestone pattern.

I need some help from the experts here:

there is a game, where the first of a monument gets 50 points, second 45, third 40, and so on, the 20th gets 5 points.

now I really need to know who will collect more points in Ronde and P-R combined:

Cancellara

or

Goss, Sagan and Boom??

thx for your help!

@Buffalo: No Belgium for me, I'm stuck in Texas for the race. If anyone else is in Austin, I've spoken with Mister Tramps, and they're going to put the race on. No Duvel, though. :( And there's going to be a bible study group in the back room. Of a bar.

Time? English feed? Might be nice to watch on TV instead of the pc.

No, that's for saturday.
Sunday it's rain & 13°C:D

You make me optimistic.
Looks bit different then yesterday when I had a look, but looks like still dry and cloudy in the morning and some rain during lunch, and then sunny in late afternoon again.

But like today would be really great. Would have been an epic edition. :)
What about the wind on sunday ? Looks like it will be there but just...2 Beaufort. non-factor.

I don't know. My spring is over. :D
Trusted too much on Garmin and their magic-trio and didn't have the balls for picking Goss before M-SR.

Now motto is just damage limitation.

Cancellara is too hot.
All people will work against him.

I bet breakaway will win.

Guys like Lars Boom, Bernhard Eisel, Marcus Burghardt, Juan Antonio Flecha Giannoni, Daniel Oss, Martijn Maaskant, Sylvain Chavanel are good breakaway group

Don't think Sky will send their leader in a break.

And I thought Maaskant was supposed to be injured? 2 days ago he said he rode his bike for the first time in over two weeks.

This reminds me of an old interview by Tom Boonen

"Italians ride good in warm weather, we[Belgians] ride good in bad and good weather"

Cancellara is Italian :D

But then again, in that interview he was just criticizing Paolo Bettini and his Italian teammates.

In that very same interview he also said he hoped Philippe Gilbert would break through to take some of the pressure of him lol. Think it was like 4 years ago, but I have an epic memory.

wondering what EBH can do without E3, gante-wevelgen or Panne in his legs.

I guess we cannot expect much from him. Pitty

Versus is showing it at 5:00 p.m. central, so the feed will be in English, but you'll wish that it wasn't at times. I'll be there with at least one other person, but all my other friends have begged off.

EDIT: @MVDB: I think that was the joke.

Is EBH racing? I see from the Team Sky site that Jeremy Hunt, who is racing, is saying:

"The rest of the guys are all looking really strong, and although we haven't discussed team tactics in any great detail just yet, I'm guessing I'll be riding for Juan Antonio Flecha, Mathew Hayman, Geraint Thomas or Ian Stannard on the day. "

Yes he is (according to the Sky website): Flecha, Thomas, EBH, Stannard, Hayman, Hunt, Arvesen and Swift

He was accused of mechanical doping. He was worried that if he did another superperformance like that they would give him a year holiday.

Also he wasnt on form then. in 09 he beat Tony Martin by 3 minutes catching Larsson in like 10 k and letting him follow his way to 2nd.

In 10 he only pulled out about a minute on David Millar. He clearly wasnt on top form.

But more importantly he had met all his targets for the season. Oman, E3 RVV PR both Tour time trials and Worlds itt.

Winning Worlds RR would have been just selfish. Cancellara is a gent like Indurain. He knows when to let others have a chance.

Right. He gifted a World Championship on his home soil. Makes sense.
