Please no. I am already afraid I will have to watch him ride (to describe his style as "riding" is generous. As I have said before, it looks like he is screwing a rabbit) in a break all day would really detract from the enjoyment I get from watching races. I appreciate the guy's spirit, but he should be brought up on rape charges for what he does to a bike.
that really wasn't nice of you!

i will be giggling every time i see him tomorrow and my boyfriend will think i've gone mad (he's probably right).

**************
a note on the weather: i know it's supposed to rain tomorrow but right now the weather is so beautiful, it's hard to believe it will be all that nasty.

Anticipation is killing me. I'll need some serious entertainment tonight, cause all I want right now is to see Tommeke taming the ****ing Koppenberg and so on.

Damn I hate the day before De Ronde, almost as much as the first of April. Tomorrow will be intense. The relief will be immense when Sporza starts their transmission at 9, don't matter what they'll show. And then building up the tension to an absolute climax during the race (or an anticlimax for that matter, but let's hope not).

Maybe you can play the Sporza Classic game:D

Good confirmation that you love de Ronde is, when you nearly forget mother's bithday. :D
An even bigger flower bouquet will allow me to avoid the coffetable around 16:00. At least I hope so....
If not I'll just hide laptop under table.

Yes but the predictions have been like that all week. Super saturday, and horrible weather sunday

You call that horrible ?
We can be happy if there are some tiny showers early in day. Thats all.

If you didn't read the forecasts, I will. Rainy day predicted. Not light showers.

Aha, and "rainy" and somehow cloudy day with some 2 beaufort and around 14°C is horrible for a Dutch man.
I understand. Zeker dat.
You seem to have immigrated from Aruba or something. :D

We should now start talking about that horrible storms coming tomorrow.

Wow that is buried deep. Thanks, ingsve, you are a life saver.

So long, El Pistolero! I won't miss you.

That's true in a way, because every post he made was quoted by somebody else. So you'll get the same content, just in a different order.

it's on sbs 1 at like 10 in sydney, probs later.

I hope Goss can also put up a good fight and riders from BMC and Rabobank should try get one win in the classics so they shall be aggresive. Going to put 2 names out Vaitkus and Voeckler. If they attack and everyone marks Cancellara i can see one of them winning. But honestly there are so many capable of winning but only one favourite.

if day a is 25 degree celsius and sunny, and day b, the following day, is 13 degrees and rainy, then yes, I'd say that is pretty horrible.

12 degree temperature difference and rain instead of sun.
good luck with that

anyway, you're definately on my ignore list now... nothing sensefull ever seems to come out of you

Now its just "pretty" horrible.
Will be an EPIC day tomorrow. There are rumors that there will be no livecoverage because helicopters and planes have to stay on ground because of that horrible weather.

How can someone call that even "horrible" if there isn't even something one could call wind too ?

Anyway, I figured out, that if I would put everyone on ignore who doesn't make any sense (in some cases: just from time to time), there were definitely not much left.

I'm rooting for him. Any rider who says they want it raining and nasty gets my support. Tomeke Tomeke Tomeke!!!

+ a million.

I really don't think he's got it yet (I think PR he'll be better) and I've not picked him for the podium. But I'm a HUGE Tommeke fan, and so so hope that by some miracle he wakes up in the morning feeling like a monster. There is only one rider in the current pro peloton whom, at full strength, would be a match in Flanders for FC in his current form, and that is Boonen. He's just not at full strength but I so wish he was; I think we'd see a battle for the ages.

Can barely wait for this one; something tells me we are in for an epic. No way this one is a snooze. Bring. It. On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I think I can top that. I am divorced, but thankfully with a great relationship with my ex, and a son who is really cool and whom I am blessed to have. We each have him about 50/50, taking every other weekend.

HOWEVER, he's just really not into watching Flanders/Roubaix for a couple of hours yet (maybe he'll get it when he's older, hopefully, believe me, I've tried), so, I'll admit to carefully checking the calendar and making sure she had him this weekend, and taking a double weekend after PR so I have that Sunday free as well.

I mean, come on? Leaving him upstairs while my crazy Minnesota cycling buds and I go nuts downstairs drinking Stella and urging Tommeke to attack??

Just would'nt be a very good Dad now, would I?? And then I have him AG weekend only because the live coverage is owned by Amstel and I can watch it later, then of course make sure I'm free for LBL as well.

And of course, will <cough> be working from home the morning of FW.

(Just for the record, I am a VERY devoted Dad... but who can fault me for creative Classics-season scheduling?? It's only a few weekends a year...) :)

What's your excuse for the Tour? :D

Well, my best one ever was I had a partial knee replacement in June 29th 2009, so got to spend nearly all of July parked on the couch doing rehab while watching live each morning. Tour is different; a lot of times the best stages are during the week, and the best mountain stages on the weekends schedule kind of like classics season!

I'm really more about the Giro anyway; I'm an independent software consultant so was able to manage my schedule last year in such a way I got to watch nearly every stage of the 2010 race live on RAI.

It's really about priorities, yes?? Like they say, if we want something badly enough, we can make it happen!! ;)

(Thank the universe for the intertubes; Phil and Paul was all I used to ever be able to hope for, now it's 3 hours live streaming from Sporza/Eurosport. I'm like a crack addict now. :) )

Yeah, while I was altering the image, I actually thought about how "Super Woman Pozzato" probably would not suck Boonen's wheel anymore. He/she would still be sucking something though.
