28. KOLOBNEV Alexandr
(30. GAVAZZI Francesco)

other nominees:
Igor Anton
Ezekiel Mosquera

Borderline riders that might not be high profile enough to have had a chance to get disliked.
(Dan Martin)
(Johnny Hoogerland)
(Pierrick Fedrigo)
(Bernhard Eisel)
(Adam Hansen)
(Russel Downing)
(Nicholas Roche)

I don't get why anyone would dislike Fedrigo, i like him a lot. Dan Martin not borderline anymore/ Johnny has shot to international fame.

I can understand if someone hated Anton ( he does not win enough/ he should have tried more at the Giro ). Roche is the same ( talented yet not winning )- though Anton has won a lot more.

Mosquera could have taken drugs/ someone who supports Vaconsoleil must hate him. Kolobnev could have done the equivalent of match fixing. I do however like Kolobnev a lot.

I dislike how Gavazzi has gone to Astana with other sprinters like Borut/ Jacopo, just when he got a Vuelta stage win.

Does anyone hate Voeckler ( on this forum )? I love him for many reasons but that TDF defence was valiant. Some people might hate him because he lost though.

hype = dislike

I think whenever a rider receives hype there will be those who automatically turn against it and so a rider is disliked purely on the adulation received from fans/media and not through any action of his own.

Despite this I still like Peter Sagan ;)

I love cycling, but I hate or dislike almost every remotely profiled rider in the peloton.

But Thomas de Gendt, I can't fathom how anybody can possibly dislike him. He has to win this topic.

Mentioning any typical australian (Gerrans, Rogers etc) or any of the "racist" english speaking holier than thou clique in the peloton is a waste of time cause I hate them all.

I disliked Sagan before it was cool, so your theory is not entirely true.

Anyone who dislikes Jens Voigt should be banned from cycling.

+1 I'm glad this was on the end of the thread. In general, I think domestiques have a 'get out of jail free' card in this topic.

In the pursuit of the win, it seems to me some pretty unhappy choices have to be made that end up creating some ill will. I'm not even bringing The Clinic into the discussion.

That's an odd one, hating people based on their origin because allegedly "they're all racist".

I didn't realise it was cool to dislike Sagan and I made no reference to you or your reasoning? but the more attention a rider receives then the more scrutiny they are placed.
