Yeah, Sagan is going to get some of that as well. I certainly wouldn't say I dislike the guy but his rabid fans are starting to turn me off to him.

I'd say a few of the guys not in parenthesis are too low profile to be considered, particularly Txurruka and Morenhout.Probably Szymd as well.

Other possible nominees - Flecha, Fédrigo, Ballan, Eisel(possibly too low a profile)

I seem to remember a few people dissing Flecha because he sat on for a few Kilometres in the closing stages of Paris-Roubaix, before he grabbed position 3.

Another one ..Stuart O'Grady, Seems a decent guy.

Flecha. Tom Boonen blamed not just him but everyone else in the chase group, but i think any potential dislike from this might be quekked when people remember him stealing the flag from that fan in the vuelta a few years back.

And has Sastre been mentioned? Surely the least hated winner of the grandady of them all in living memory.
As someone else said, Sastre has lots of haters in Spain, because they think he's an overrated whinger. Actually I'd say he's among the Spanish riders with the most detractors.

my countryman sylvester seems to be well liked on this forum, together with vasilly rated high on "top domestique" lists, or even "domestiques who could become leaders" lists
He had an issue with Polish commentator though (and didn't handle it with class).

(With Voigt out, I doubt it's possible to find someone that no one hates... But then again, it alone can be annoying that he's always considered most fair, nicest, least suspicious one- though it's of course not his fault.)

Yeah, some of the Boonen fanboys got on his case also.

I dont remember the incident with the flag, but the fact he was born in Argentina and now rides for Spain has ****ed a few people off as well i think.

A guy in antlers with an american flag was waving it in front of the peloton. Flecha cunningly went came in from the other side and with antler man looking at the peloton, stole the flag from behind him. He then waved it

3. It really is up to the OP, but this Liberum Veto voting system never works ( and I should know, we Poles practically invented the system). All the evidence points to the fact that thousands of people read these forums. The chances are every rider will have at least one hater. Anyone can just sign in and immediately get a non hated rider of the list, just for kicks.

Well, this isn't national politics and having free veto right for everyone is in line with what I'm trying to find out. I want to see if there is a rider that not a single person dislikes. It's not up to majority vote. If as much as one person says they dislike someone then that rider won't fit the criteria.

The only problem is that this relies on people being honest which I hope people will be.

Nice one. The running fans are irritating at the best of times particularly American Lance fans. Well i presume he was a Lance fan.

What was I thinking, trying to act like a normal adult on an internet forum. The attacks are uncalled for and you know it, all I did was point out that the translations on CN from Dutch to English aren't always spot on.
Come on, this guy isn't exactly subtlety incarnate, what did you expect? But you're right about the translations, I think it's strange that any journalist would use Google Translate as a reliable source.

That being said, Boonen and certainly Devolder are truly inspirational when you're looking for good excuses. And bad ones too.

That might be true. That's really what I wanted to find out.

So far there are still riders remaining that has yet to be eliminated and some of those names are a bit surprising. I would have expected that some people would dislike Alejet, Samu, Cunego, for example.

They are both mere amateurs compared to the king of excuses: Leif Hoste. A Leif Hoste vs. Cadel Evans excuse-a-thon would be an epic battle.

I'm a bit biased here - but I never get why people have an issue with the weakest sprinter in a break 'sitting on' in the last few kms - as if it's his duty to drag the other guys to the line and be inevitably beaten. I agree he should contribute to the formation and the building of the break - but towards the end - you do whatever you can (within the rules) to win.

PS: I dislike (but do not hate) AleJet

Agreed, although the way he rode at the Lincoln GP certainly didn't endear himself to the UK based riders he used to be one of.

I've never heard many/any bad things about Jens Voigt nor Sylvester Szmyd. Julian Dean seems pretty universally liked.

Philippe Gilbert.

Tom Boonen gets a lot of hate here sadly. One year without a big win and he's all of a sudden game over here in Belgium lol.

Many people probably don't know Russ Downing. That's like saying nobody dislikes Bert De Waele (ok, maybe a bit higher up, but you get the point).
