Apparently he's not the only one with a form of passport issues. Jasha Sutterlin had to go back home to get his passport because he'd forgotten it. He should be there by now.

Don't know, but he had a lot more KMs than what it's showing for Aug as that's when he'd gotten back on his bike to start training again. He did the training ride with his team on the first rest day of la Vuelta and had been riding on the road for a solid week before that. From what he said he was doing 700K a week starting sometime in Sept, thus riding about 3,000 kms per month in Oct, Nov, and Dec. So it is possible yes, is it actually his, who knows. As it's possible he has one and doesn't always use it for all of his rides. I have no clue if he has a strava account or not.

Valverde is a better climber than Costa, so it's not a big surprise.

I think Dumoulin is his main rival. Even if he drops the rest on the steepest sections, Dumo can still use his TT skills and reel him in when it flattens out.

It's a bit harder to do with Valverde than Quintana but it's Dumo we are talking about.

Am I the only one who can't really tell these desert races apart?
Dubai: sprints.
Qatar (RIP): crosswinds.
Oman: hills.
Abu Dhabi: crap.

I get you're being a little funny, but aren't they all pretty much classified as crap?

Most of the stages are crap but Hatta Dam and Green Mountain are gaining status.

And Qatar produced some fun moments.

I'd call it a big surprise. It's a recon! And he's not going up with a peloton.
Last year there was a lot of stop/start riding before Costa went away. So the time was pretty slow.

He got on the bike again though... probably collarbone or he just took a bad hit on that shoulder. Probably out a few weeks.
