the way some people on here root obviously deserves a defeat.
Kwibus said:You start about fanboyism while it's not relevant. History has proven that Contador is the king of the longer climbs while Purito usually lost time on the longer climbs with the exception of the Giro.
Let's see what happens, but it would surprise me if Purito is still wearing the red jersey after monday. He's in great form, but these long climbs suit him less.

LaFlorecita said:Where does this strongest climber BS come from? If anything he has shown himself to be the strongest sprinter.
airstream said:i was just being facetious cos find such a teenage gloryhunting with "what a bs!" or "megalol, how could you think so?!" very funny.
but previous experience sometimes lies, doesnt it? otherwise we woud've сrowned a rider with a larger palmares before the start of the race yet. all the more so, purito showed himself as a very good climber in big mountains say in the 10 tour. the giro just gave him some consistency and stability he had lacked before. froome is just a fan wish to tight an intrigue even more.
auscyclefan94 said:Don't be so sensitive. Rodriguez has been strong so far and Alberto is not climbing overly well atm. Wait and see.
Contador still has to prove he's not undertrained and he has racing legs. The last triptico stage on Monday might prove this right if not before. Fingers crossed.sultanofhyd said:This is just like people saying Froome will put significant time on Contador in the TT. Purito won't have a chance in hell against Contador in the big mountains. Miburo said:lol wtf.
Purito already dropped 2 times on Contador on the longer climbs. The little climbs are over, Contador is getting better and better.
Purito never showed he could drop Contador a long climb, why now?
What's the difference? Now Contador will focus on Purito and destroy him.
Btw Contador only needs 1 superday. Only 1 day where he has Etna-form and it's enough. No way Purito will drop him on a long climb, it has never happened, he was never even close in dropping Contador in a long hard stage. Why now?
Keep on dreaming![]()
airstream said:I can imagine Contador attacks, Putito hangs on and gives a montrous Rocco di Cambio counter attack and ... 89 people burst from outrage.
Red Rick said:You mean the same Rocca di Cambio where Purito got dropped and finished fourth?![]()
Unless he really cracks this weekend, this is not a linear equation. it's hard to say what his tactics would've been if he's really close to the leaders. You can make a case also of what Sky did to him, it will motivate him even more to podium.Caruut said:I hope that whoever wins it is either at least 51s(?) ahead of Valverde or is Valverde. Will be nicer if there can be no coulda/woulda/shoulda about what will have been a well-won victory.
