(I love the fluo camo vest  )

What if Tinkoff would use the grey camo kit as their main kit next year, can you imagine the outrage on the interwebs

Reason that careers are longer are largely explained clinically, and also a bit by better training methods and stuff like that
more compensation, ads and sponsors have improved the situation monetarily for the riders so they continue for longer

For fans living near or in London, Alberto will attend the Rouleur Classic on 19 November :)

Geez, of all the days I have a meeting near Birmingham…wonder if I can change?

Anyone been to one of these efforts? If I hauled ass down to London would it actually be enjoyable or just milling about feeling a bit ripped off at £150 a pop?

Better be a good goodie bag for that price

Edit - Ah the joys of being freelance…got out of that meeting…now to decide…I could do a weight watch for you all…how rich am I feeling today?

Dunno. :) If only I was in your "predicament" :) ....there doesn't seem to be a ton of tickets left.

Well, never let it be said that I don't make sacrifices for the peeps on CNF…!

I got a ticket. I must be crazy, but mercifully I'm on a long term contract and my boss is just lovely (he actually told me to book it and not worry about the meeting, if you can believe it!)

I fear I may be vastly outnumbered by MAMILS and not feel entirely welcome (there were times at the Tour that I had the distinct feeling that my role as a woman was to dance about on cars). But we'll see. I suspect it'll be a lot of stands trying to sell me extremely expensive kit that I don't need of one sort or another and then a spot of Q and A and limp canapés….but hopefully I won't be so far away that I can't make a rough estimate of AC's BMI….

'Fraid I don't really do pictures much tho. so no promises on that score. Given my efforts at the Tour, I'll probably only get Fabs' elbow or something anyway.

A grey camo kit would be awful though
Not sure how much worse it would be than a tinkoff kit though if it's an obscenely bright yellow.

A green camo kit on the other hand like this one would be pretty good:

Nice article/interview about contador on radsport-news.com right from the training camp in porec.

He says that he maybe rides the vuelta aswell, he wants of course do the tour and the olympics and then maybe la vuelta. But i depends how the early season goes with races like paris nice and catalunya.

He regrets a bit that he never really could peak for the ardennes, he likes races like liege and thinks that he could do well there but says it always is a bit of a conflict with the tour preperation.

He says that his biggest rival was froome, and thinks he is the man to beat in next years tour. And his most emotional victory was the TDU stage in 2005.

"I want to do well durning the first part of the season and win prestigious races such as Paris-Nice, Catalunya and Pais Vasco".
He's also saying that he wants to have Kiserlovski with him in most of the races.

Hmmm in the German and English version he does not name Pais Vasco

Glad to read he wants to have Kiserlovski with him, it's about time they start using him properly

Yes, it's only named in the Italian version, but the italian version is longer and seems to be more detailed.

I'm surprised he mentioned Paris - Nice. Better seasons with it in the schedule, surely.
I doubt he'll meet the principal Tour rivals there, though. It's not of major significance any more, I suppose. And I doubt they'll all gather in the Dauphine, as well.
Interesting build up.

Since when is P-N not a major significance?

Would be great if he rides P-V.

I read he said he was more tired than he thought coming to Tour, still think riding RdS was a mistake after Giro

Thanks, ladies. And thanks for the article link.

I like AC's attitude - the enjoying it more than winning early on, and how he likes the freedom of being on the bike. Chimes a bit with why I ride. I also like the 'try more' stuff re. the double…I don't enjoy the Tour focus as much as the year round stuff. That's why I hope Nibali reverts after this year.

As for the Camu…well, nothing will top the green for me…except perhaps Giro pink (ha!)

Sizing up his rivals early before the Tour isn't of major importance any more.
