He only has to watch Scarponi and Brambilla for tomorrow.

He should be fine.
Also Yates and the Sky-duo Boswell and Kennaugh.

Normally he should easily beat them all but if his injuries haven't healed completely we might be in for a surprise.

Forgot Yates.

But Boswell and Kenaugh. I mean, come on. When do they come in the imaginable Sky train?

Wow, Alberto was super impressive - his team was nowhere, but he managed to be right at the front in the crosswinds and even placed top-15 (or almost at least)

Yeah, Blythe did a nice job of putting Contador in a good position, but it was nice to see Contador hold that position himself. Very encouraging.

Oh Blythe may have been there - I might have missed him because he's not riding in fluo yellow - I'll have another look :)

Interesting competition :) :

Innovative fabric specialists, Polartec, are to offer 10 cyclists the opportunity to spend five days training with Alberto Contador in October. The competition demands that entrants cycle 1,000km in under a month and only those who ‘keep up with Contador’s pace’ will be in with a chance of winning.

Entry is via the FollowContador website and the competition will run from August 29 to September 26 through Strava. It will run in 10 different countries.

Entrants will be asked to work their way through four levels of personal challenges. When each level is completed, a badge is awarded and the next, more difficult stage will be unlocked. There will also be weekly prizes offered by a number of the brands who make use of Polartec fabrics, including Castelli, Sportful, Rapha and rh+.

Winners will get to join Contador himself for five days of professional training with the Polartec Fundacion Contador Team in Gran Canaria.

I can do a 1000 in a month... And I'm sure I can't keep up with Contador.
Also, the bunch in Foundation's teams is too young for me, I believe.

Alberto was 13th :) just behind Samu and in front of Yates, Scarponi and Brambilla
No time gain though, but 13 seconds should be doable tomorrow

He was impressive on the echelons. Alone, no Noval, no Tossato, nothing else.
Noval, what? :)

I watched the final kms again, Blythe did an amazing job keeping Alberto at the front

Just I meant he hadnt today any of his helps along his career.

Noval has been one of the best domestiques Alberto has had for moments as the one at 10 Km to the finish line today. He was a huge domestique but maybe just appreciated for Contador. He use to pull about 100 Km in the stages, and he was always puting Contador out of problem, with a high fidelity, just compared to Hernandez. Tossato of course has a big quality and even at his age he do a big job.
People in Spain has always understimate Noval 8except the ones compited with him in juniors or amateurs). They consider he was in le Tour just becouse he was Contador friend.
To answer that I put a video on youtube where you can see a non so hide work made by Noval in an stresfull moment of the first week of le Tour, fightenn with people as Cancellara.

“It’s been very, very close,” Contador said afterwards. “To tell the truth I had no idea if I could win, my pulse rate was so high I stopped looking and just went for it.”

As Contador said later, although the gaps were very narrow, he is still building his form towards the Spanish Grand Tour, where he confirmed on Saturday that the aim will be to go for a fourth overall win.

It was obvious he was struggling, gutted it out for a win!
