The circuit isn't too bad

But still not hard enough for Alberto to make a difference

That's not the road circuit. Just check the length.

The original was much, much, much better:

And as you also posted the TT course:

What the hell why not keep that ITT course? Was that ever relly close or what. That course would be great. I also don't get why WC is nearly the same style why not have a stage to Ventoux for the WC. It is only fair i think

Cities and areas usually have to bid in to get the WC.

WC circuit should be sprinter friendly once in 5 years. Not completely flat, a Kittel in current climbing shape/ability should not get WC.
Once in 5 years a hard profile, something in between Lombardia (slightly easier) and L-B-L. And the other 3 years a route for "everybody", puncheurs, climbers, classic riders.
It's time for a harder WC. This year Degenkolb could make it. Too easy.

Firenze was a harder course. Five climbers made the final selection, no puncheurs.

I just hope they did this in the reverse direction. enough for an early attack and crazy descents. the selection can be made in the penultimate loop.

the original is mouth-watering.

But i still dont understand one thing. why cant they have a WC RR which suits the local boys?

The TT looks very anti-TonyMartin to me.

As mentioned, last year's was for the climbers.
And I disagree that this year's isn't hard enough. It's up to the riders and if Germany doesn't qualify enough quality riders, they can't control the break. Other nations (Italy for Modolo, Ulissi if he's back, Bennati) can also race it harder to dislodge the German sprinters.
On a similar profile in '09, Cadel won. And given this year's results, I can see Gerrans on podium.

Even in the old ITT parcours i doubt Contador would have won it. His climbing might be back but i don't think he still has that same ITT form.
