“I think he was a cyclist who always showed such strength, great intelligence and spectacular physical conditioning,” said Contador, who is third overall at the Vuelta.

:(

Why would he even say something like that???

You must not forget Lance was kiddie Alberto's idol.

That quickly changed after really knowing him lol

Bruyneel really was dumb to accept Armstrong again, that way he lost Contador. The guy who was going to dominate the GT's.

And now he has Andy Schleck....Sometimes I feel sorry for Bruyneel:rolleyes:

Because it is the polite thing to say!

That too! I think the way Lance treated Alberto really hurt him, especially because he was his hero. But Alberto is always kind and humble, he will never say bad things about someone. :)

I like Alberto better with Riis. Riis really seems to care about him. I mean, I've never seen a genuine Alberto/Hog hug and already dozens of Alberto/Bjarne hugs!

No one deserves to try and keep AS in shape, it's too cruel lol

Btw I like it that he's under Riis now. Riis is more of an attacking guy than bruyneel. I like that :p

Maybe he was ironic in a subtle way.

Bruyneel lost his sponsor in 2007 despite winning the Tour with Contador. He managed to get the money from the Kazakhs for a while but he knew that would finish when Vino returned from his 2 year vacation. Ironically, Armstrong brought him the fresh money he couldn't get from Contador.

Well that's JB's fault then. Bjarne can get more than enough money with Alberto.
