And Cineteq exposed himself again. Ask F. Schleck who helped him in the classic in '06.

He pulled for nibali too in tour'12. And loyal not meaning the same as helpful is ***, it doesn't even support his argument since he then admits basso is loyal.

Typical idiot who can't even troll properly anymore.

True. I just recently watched my video of the LBL from 2006 and Basso was quite prominent chasing down attacks for Frank Schleck in the final km's. It was one of the more exciting editions IMO.

a gynecologist?

had to be done :p

i think basso can be a super domestique but above all a great leader like JFK or mandela were. he gives you that zen state, he mades you tranquilo during a race and that is still important even for alberto
but i still dream of him getting at least a stage win!

I love GCN - they are ridiculous at times, but this was great. For me personally I think I agreed with their award results more than any other website's.

Oh yeah, defo!

And yes, I love them too. They're a great lot :)

It seems implied in that CN article that Bennati won't ride the Giro- Contador wants him but Sagan also does.
I know, but it stil can be changed imo.I think its the best option to go for cobbles classics.

In the giro this is way less important than the tour anyways.

For the sponsors, but the Giro-Tour double is way more important than just the Tour for Contador. I think he reckons if I pull it off then I'm the best GT winner of all-time. If I only win the Tour then I'm merely great. Being already "great," he really has no other option than to become a legend. And to attempt to do so, with everything already achieved, especially in today's hyper-specialized and financial sport, is itself a sign of courage accompanied by that touch of brazenness (folly?), without which apotheosis remains elusive.

I think Miburo meant that flat workhorses are less important at the Giro. And Alberto will have monster Toso with him anyway. I hope for a spot on the team for Manuele too.

Dear Contador nutters.

Well its the new year, and personally I don't care for that (just a change of a number). But I did read in a different sub forum today that key Cycling Taliban leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar Echoes, who wants this thread finished because he doesn't like it, is counting the number of days this thread is active.

As someone who is very opposed to censorship and bullying, I ask that throughout this year, if anyone sees that this thread is going inactive for a significant number of hours, please post in it to ensure it keeps going.
That way, when Mullah Echoes does his counting 364 days from now, he won't have very many days to record and an important blow to this kind of medieval mentality will be dealt.

Thank you for your time.

The Hitch.

I'll do my best although I believe with this being possibly the 2nd most posted in and viewed thread in the cn forum probably is enough to give Echoes a perpetual aneurysm of frustration which is pure satisfaction for me. The amount of love and hate to engender such attention and resulting dialogue is a testament to Contador's greatness!
