"no offense" - but he still tries to do it. Priceless.

What? Oh yes, to say that Contador of the 12 Vuelta version would be destroyed in the Tour is so offensive...

Just an observation, AC has more race days than Froome and in the past when AC has won the TDF he as always had wins be it P.N etc and it did not make him tyred in the TDF. So what makes people think Contador is banking it all on last week, I just don't get how Contador would not have won a WT stage or stage race. Do people really think Contador has not been going all out in these races?:D Anyway I cant wait now just 88 days to go I predict fireworks.

Lol the Irish like Alberto

And very interesting that both Roche and Kelly have publicly claimed Froome would be the man to watch

Yes but trust me he does not like it this way he wants to win a stage, no? I just think theirs more to it he as always at least dominated a stage this year we have not seen that. That's why I said about Froome has raced less yet people think Froome will be burnt out, I don't see it though. May the best man win

8 more days....

Well 15 more days. That day on Ax 3, we'll know it all. I know it's the first MTF.

But still don't matter for a good AC (etna, arcalis).

I've been looking for the exact quote, but IIRC Contador is taking a completely different approach this year. His primary goal is to win the Tour. I don't think he's officially using every race leading up to it to be training, but I don't think he has been close to his peak in any race. Which is different from previous years. If I can find the interview/article I'll update this post.

No problem. it's pathetic to bash other riders and at the same time demand very respectful attitude towards your rider. On the forum I collide with million of things from the same posters all over and over again I strongly disagree with, but I put up with it and don't ask ignore anyone.

If we see Contador like he was in the Vuelta last year, he'll be trampled by Froome, thrown away from the Alpe-d'Huez top alive.

I think we will see a similar Contador or even weaker, so Purito and Valverde will be stronger in the mountains.

People say here Contador did a different progran this year. That is not true. I am spanish and I have read all his statements this years in the spanish newspapers and cycling webs, and he was in Tirreno to win, and he attack in Tirreno to win.

He couldnt do it, as he did others years, puting even haf a minute over the second in the climb.

His ITT was clearly worse than he used to.

Contador was peaking the same or more than Froome did. Froome failed, but he was the strongest in the mountain stage.

If is true he got the flu after that I dont know. But again in Dauphiné he was weaker than in other years. He just was strong in an explosive climb in a short stage, his best parcours.

His race is as other years with Andy, but I think Andy could put some good time on him in the stage of Le Grand Bornard.

But if they wants this thread as a Contador fans thread, maybe would be good dont writte here, and ask some people the same in other threads.

I am not going to write here a lot here for that reason.

Naturally. The original plan was to win all possible races, but when it came to light that he couldn't beat Sky, Contador and Riis had to make up a new version or really switch to it - everything for the Tour.

Your confidence about Froome is unnerving to the Contador fans. They have hope but they have doubts. What a troll you are to have an opinion of your own. Shame on you !

:) Excellent irony

In fact comparison of the 12 Vuelta Contador and current Froome is reality.

If I'd told Froome could've smashed even the 2009 Tour Contador, it would've been real confidence.

Contador's Vuelta win raised questions. Rodriguez's podium behind Hesjedal at the Giro also raises questions. If Valverde did not fall in the Vuelta he may have won the race. The Tour will give a true indication of Contador's new level but of course if he gets beaten some of his fans will say that he lacked form. Can Contador's form be much better than in July 2013 ? I thought Contador's win at the Vuelta was a very good one but Froome is a different proposition to Valverde and Rodriguez who had every advantage over Contador at the Vuelta and still could not beat him.
