vs

Contador Kreuziger Roche Majka Hernandez Paulinho Morkov Bennati Sorenson

WHO WINS?

Benna and Tasso were the reason of the split on the cross wind last year. So i think they will be on the team. They would leave Majka out. He is alberto's lieutenant for Vuelta. Maybe Chris sorenson will be replaced by Beltran, since he is specialist for long climb (based on Bjarne comment on why tinkoff hired him). The kid just need to be trained to be able to sustain sky train.:D:D

Actually I'm thinking Froome will be glad he isn't the favourite this year, even though he's the defending champion. He's never been keen on being expected to win and taking the responsibility for the team. Of course Froome would've liked to be better by now, but I guess he'll have to see an opportunity in the current situation.

Who says he's not the favourite? Just wait until Romandie and Dauphine.

How is Froome not the favourite? Froome crushed him on a TT bike last year and if that's still the case then thirteen seconds in the mountains isn't gonna matter **** over 54km.

I am pretty sure everyone expected him to win last year. And until Contador beats him one on one, he remains the favourite imo.

Let's not use a race that TJ podium'd as an example.

Besides Froome was injured.

I agree. I hope Contador does Dauphine so we see AC v CF a month in advance. Could be a classic Tour this year.

Btw whoever say that Froome isn't favorite this year, is none sense. He is expected to win on every race he enters, including catalunya. Of course, he wasn't as good as he expected at Catalunya, especially since Brailsford said his back didn't affect his preparation. Weeeellll.... maybe, since even TJ out-climbed him :D

So? Contador still beat him one on one and that's what Parrulo asked for.

Catalunya was a fiasco of a race. . . doesn't really count when all you had was a 500m sprint and a frozen stage.

Also he was returning from "injury"

Man,this was an incredible performance by Berto.I didnt see it live, but still I was Very pleased, haaappy.
Im astonished what one bad winter preparation can do with a rider like Alberto. But it was just one bad year, and he looks in his pre-unfair break shape.Maybe even better,I smell 2011 power in his legs.We still dont know in what kind of age he will/had have his peak.;) Porte skipping a Giro is obvious, with Uran,Wiggins and even Henao out, aaand Thomas and EBH in cobble shape they won't be able to ride that good in mountains.
Froome is still a favourite but wow,I bet that right now he is riding Teide up n down all day long:D:D
Will be an interesting summer/fall.

Vamos Alberto!

Brilliant ride from Alberto. Saw the last 9 kms. This guy is gunning for big things this year.

Sat on Valverde's wheels and let him do all the hard work. Distanced all the other rivals during this time. And when they hit the most difficult section he attacked and took good time on everyone.

Good tactics. Good form. Cant wait for the Tour. I hope Froome has seen this. Not suggesting he might be destroyed but he can definitely expect a much harder race :)

Loving this :)

I forgot to mention this in my previous post...

Alberto was dancing the pedals like in the old days!Looked calm and relaxed, with killer instinct like before 2013.
But the dancing,I love it! reminds me etna, zoncolan, tourmalet, verbier etc.:)

Agree. However, I still think its important for Berti's morale to drop Froome.

This is what Froome's girlfriend said today

Maybe an "ex" doper can win the tour this year, at least he would be qualified to answer all the doping questions

It seems she's scared ;)

Chris is a far better person than I am putting up with all of it. He is a true (and clean) hero no matter what the twitter jokers say. ❤️

I see what you mean, she truly is pathetic, and from her followers I can see where the trolls in here comes from.
