it's not a fear, it's a hope.
But still no official words about that.

Uhm...I liked the ending in Lecco with climb of Villa Vergano. It's deep enough for climbers ( and also for Berto 2014).
The finale in Bergamo Alta has never created big differences seem, but i don't remember

Villa Vergano is ok, what is not ok is the rest of the race. In particular the 20+ kms flat to reach it.

Bad day,the wound healing gets complicated,I've no date to take the bike.Goodbye to the Vuelta.

Sad new  But I kinds expected him not to make the Vuelta. Now all focus must be on the next season

not surprised at all about him missing La vuelta- I knew it was coming.....

I was more concerned (before hearing any of this) that attempting the Vuelta would be sort of rushing the recovery, I actually see it as somewhat positive so long as the setback to the recovery is not too severe. It can permit him and his handlers to strictly focus on recovery/rehab rather than rushing a race prep and maybe doing more damage.

I am gutted, Contador wold have smashed Nibali look at tinkoff guys riding to prove it. If Majka had no time loss id put him as fav for podium he is better than Bardet, Peraud and Pinot(maybe)

With the Giro in his legs he would never have made it to this stage in a good GC position or gotten his wins without the time loss early.

No way Majka would have made podium. None. The plan coming in was for him to ride in the gruppetto the first week or so and then be ready for the mountains. Plus if he was working for Contador he would destroy the GC group in anticipation of a Contador attack and then coast home.

I'd love to see what he could do if he was actually contesting the overall against the other young guns though.

he did, 6th place in Giro. Quintana, Uran and Aru from the youngsters were better then him.
