What odds are you thinking sir fly?
I've been thinking about a standard avatar bet, but since LaFlo mentioned - a ban is the proper stake, I'd say.

Some news, AC is currently training hard in Italy before Milan Turin and Lombardia.

If he's in great form, I can't see how he'll lose Milan Turin, it perfectly fits him.

The problem is the Lombardia route, he just can't win if he doesn't finish solo, he'll need a one shot powerful attack to drop everyone on that last bump (near the finish line).
I'll be hard but we can believe.

I don't think he'll start the Giro unless the others do as well. He wants another Tour before another Giro, imo. I know he has said he will race the Giro, but he can always change his mind.

Every time Alberto Contador said he would do this or that GT he participated. Every time.

He will start the Giro. Without Nibali he can win in energy saving mode. With Nibali he has to race decently hard, but I'm convinced he is better both in flat and hilly TT's plus a level above Nibali in the mountains.

Not true.
He had a similar attitude before the 2013. season.
They're repeating the trick, but hoping to provoke some reactions now.

What?
After the Vuelta 2012, he was quite noncommittal about his Tour participation, and you'll probably find some statements about that but that's about it.

Did he ever say in a press conference or in an official tweet that he'd race another GT? No.

He was talking about trying the double in the 2013.. You can find plenty of articles about it from autumn of 2012. till the late January 2013. when he finally rejected the possibility, scared by Nibali who clearly emphasized the Giro will be the pinnacle of his season.
He was even talking about the treble.
It sounds really funny now, when we know how he performed at the Tour that season.
It's, basically, the same routine again.
He expresses the intention, and how the new season is nearing he's softening the chances by the moment he finally rejects the possibility.
It's just a media stunt and decoy for thoughtless rivals.

I guess we'll just have to wait for the back pedalling to see if you're right. But I wouldn't bet the farm.

He never talked about the treble after the Vuelta 12, so unless you find a link about that, I don't believe it.
Also he never mentioned he'd race the Giro in an official statement so that's quite a huge difference.

When asked about his Tour participation, he was only saying "we'll see, it's too early to talk about the Tour".
Even at the Giro route presentation, he never confirmed anything, he was just elusive about his intentions. This time around, he clearly confirmed he'll race the Giro, even before the presentation.

He wouldn't give a damn about Nibali. Especially after his 3rd place at the Tour 12', dropped on every MTF.

So where's the link where he is saying that he'll race the Giro for sure in 2013?

If there are plenty of articles, why don't you post one? I can't find any. "Contador double" gives hits for 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Dr Juice is right. He's never backed down after being so clear about his goals.

Who's saying he officially confirmed his schedule with both the Giro and the Tour in it?
He's been doing just like he's doing now.

could have been worse, florry. the great one has 8 grand tours in the pocket and with a little bit of luck, he will have ten by the end of 2015.

If he does the Giro-Tour double next year he'll go down as top 3 of all time. If he somehow managed the impossible triple next year I'd have him as the best cyclist ever.

tough to compare but its very difficult to surpass merckx and hinault.but with GT triple crown its probably the only way to do it.
Altough like I said, 1%. :)

Doesnt matter how it will work out, Im still delighted with Giro-Tour attempt.:)
