Such a disgraceful article doesn't deserve to be linked, find it by yourself. You won't understand it unless you can fully read french without traduction.

I think that's more then enough snide comments on each other. A great part of this thread isn't supposed to be objective or rational. Deal with it. You don't have to post here if you don't have anything nice to say, so don't. And if you still want to, take it some place else

I read the article on eurosport, I'm a contador fan but I have to agree. He hasn't stepped on the podium of the world's biggest and greatest race since 2009. And hasn't performed to his previous greatness since 12. Let's not forget he's 33 and we'll past his peak not to forget he's up against the best stage race rider since Armstrong and the best climber since pantani. For him to win at 33 would be a huge surprise

Hoping for a very strong Contador so we have 3 equally favoured riders, the Tour has been too predictable apart from last year when Nairo was somewhat close, but it would be great to see that his attacks would stick (a lot) more. Would make for a much better race.

Contador looks good.
Yeah, he looks happy and relaxed AND very fit!

How would u compare his appearance to this time last year ??
I think he is definitely skinnier, although he didn't look too bad last year either. But most importantly, I think we can be assured that he is fresher and in better form.

Guys, guys, guys, calm.

We will all know who wins (and especially who won't....) after stage 2.

Thats pretty nonsense. Until stage 7 all is speculation.

It was somewhat sarcastic, see blurry's posts, but there is definitely some truth to it when it comes to Contador. He struggled on all the uphill finishes last year before PSM, fx.

Agreed, but I will go further and hope that Pinot, Aru, Porte, TJVG and Bardet are really strong. This race could/should be wide open--at least in the beginning.

Of course he struggled compared to Froome and Quintana . . . he was coming off winning the Giro.

Well, it has always been wide open from the start, hasn't it? :p I guess you can argue Froome was in a formidable position last year after the 4 first stage.

I don't really believe in anyone of the outsiders, hoping for Bardet.

Yep, but that wasn't the point at all. I guess you can't have missed blurry making that same point again and again.

lol. well yes it is always wide open. what I mean is that the more of the top contenders who are strong and competitive, it will make it make it that much harder for Sky to dominate the race with its tried and true formula. I want someone to be a disruptor this Tour.

He looked really relaxed and happy (and fit, but he was already really lean at the Dauphine, so that's not a surprise).

Just read a ridiculous french article on Eurosport on Contador, full of bias and exclusively judging him on the last TDFs he did, they say he's aging, they literally give him no chance to win unless Froome and Quintana crash. 2 out 3 comments under that article are clinic jokes.

Ignorance at its best, holy **** **** hell. Can't wait for this to kick off
Link?

In an interview with Marca, Richie Porte says he expects Alberto to finish ahead of Quintana.

And in x interview, I heard that x rider expects Quintana ahead of Contador...

Whats the point?

Their opinions are relevant, more than yours or than mine.

Maybe, maybe not.

The point is that it's fun to read when you support Contador, but not much more. Which is perfectly fine btw.

Edit: holy *** I'm a bit late to the show I just noticed. A lot of posts after my last visit earlier today :D

Inner Ring has him a rank below both Froome and Quintana. Or said in other words, he is as close to the BMC duo ( ) as he is to Froome and Quintana.

Personally I have him there as well, but I just hope I'm wrong.
Actually I find it really hard to predict Contador for this TdF.
