He has crashed on all the GTs he participated since the 2011's Tour (probably with the exception of 2012's and 2014's Vuelta). Sometimes more than once and I seriously doubt that in at least half of them he wasn't the main responsible to his falls.

But hey, we're talking about Contador, so his fans do whatever they can to find excuses to justify his underperformances. Normal behavior from people like you after all.

So what if he crashed? Have you ever ridden in a peloton of 200 men? No, you sit on your couch all day moaning about others.

Froome wouldn't have won his Tours with Contador's shitty team. We saw that at the Vuelta this year. If he has no super strong team, Froome always loses the race.

Froome was more tired than Quintana, seeing that the british won the Tour and rode the Olympics. I supposed that that was obvious. Apparently not.
There was a time (prior to 2011) when Contador had teams worse than the ones he has had in the last years and he didn't crash as much as he does nowadays.

Other than that you need to get off of your couch and chill out so that you can stop moaning about different opinions than yours.

@Jelantik

We all know why Wiggins (who was younger than Contador will be next year) won the 2012's Tour, don't we?
About Evans, I forgot him, so you're right about it. There is only two differences: his competition wasn't near Froome's level (but we can argue that Andy was close to Quintana) and his form had not dropped considerably until 2011. But I repeat: I forgot him, so I give you kudos about it.

Froome was stronger than Quintana during the Vuelta, he only lost the Vuelta because his team decided to have a collective rest day on an important stage. Froome can't win without a mutant strong team. They've bailed him out so many times.

Tinkov is the owner of the team, so he's responsible for all its failures. And his team sucked, there was little depth or cohesion and he's certainly to blame for that poor leadership. He rules his team like a tyrant, no wonder people are not motivated to help each other.

In what world?!
In this one.

I must have missed Froome not even trying to drop Quintana when he HAD to attack to win the Vuelta.

Obviously, Froome was the better TT'er, and obviously Quintana was the better climber. Quintana won plenty of time in the mountains. The stage everyone is referring to is the stage Froome got dropped by like 10 different riders from his own group alone.

But in other news, the speculation train is leaving the station in t minus 10 minutes

It's obviously a reply to Tinkov: "hey Oleg, remember when I won the 2nd biggest GT for you? Love, Berto"

Flo, will you make peace with the Tour if Alberto wins it?

or if he does not, when will you make peace with it. when Chaves wins? when Lopez wins? who, if not Alberto, will have to win the Tour for you to like the race again?

I don't understand what the Tour has got to do with my post?
I didn't even like the Tour when Berto was winning it so I doubt I'll ever like it. It's a silly media circus with passive racing.

When you agree to take the Kings Gold...You become the Kings Man.

Oleg OWNS 100% of the Team . He signs the checks. He can say whatever he wants, IMHO

Not going to hit any clinic talk. But I will drop some NYC Street Lingo. "AC has been touched once" If he was or was not liked on the Team. Who cares? He crashed out of the Tour. And came into what should have been well rested in LaVuelta. He could not hold Nairo or Froomes wheels. When he needed to. Or put time into them. Not even a Podium. He should have rode Il Lombardia. HE CHOSE NOT TO. He let HIS TEAM DOWN! He cashed big Tinkoff checks. Ride your bike and get the team the #1 Ranking. IMHO.

I'm a HUGE AC fan. I own his LaVuelta Tribute bike. He is a LONG WAY from where he was. He has taken major steps back.

I know this old news now, but I have to comment on this. This attitude seems similar to that expressed when people say insulting things and respond to criticism with, "It's a free country." There is a distinction between what is allowed or legal and what is considered ethical - for most people, that is. Maybe your ethical views align exactly with legality. Most people would agree with the idea that just because you can say something doesn't mean you should. I own a company that employees 500 people, and I would never, ever say anything like this. In addition to being unnecessarily cruel, that is a great way to lose respect and loyalty from employees. I know he's exiting the cycling game, but he has other employees, obviously. They will be aware of this, and that awareness will affect their views and potentially their behavior.

Aside from that, really disappointed he dropped out of Il Lombardia, although I think he was unlikely to find any real form. Probably would have been good to try, but it's all about next year.

Additionally, nothing he described AC doing seemed bad to me. He's an introvert who prioritizes training, the comfort of good friends, and natural beauty. Maybe not the ideal personality to unite and galvanize a team but nothing to disparage either. I'm curious about the other negative incidences and traits people have alluded to, though.

I really hope AC rides the Giro next year.

Not trying to be confrontational at all. My point was. AC could have left the TEAM but HE chose to resign with TINKOff. As far as Legal and Ethical. This is BIKE RACING. HTFU and ride Il Lombardia. Get your team the points. No Problem cashing them checks though?

From a philosophical standpoint, I disagree that an employer has the right to treat his employees like dirt because he signs the paychecks. Furthermore, I very much doubt that anyone would perform better in such a hostile work environment.

Oleg is a punk. And a vicious one: beating on Bertie while giving props to Piti. Whether he makes valid points or not, Tinkov's attitude is to say the least, unprofessional. Good riddance.

You're 5 fleur? stop with the silly nicknames

You're right, ''Stinkov'' is not nearly bad enough.

The guy's cancer to this sport, good riddance.

Are you sure it's no fake because I don't find these tinkoff quotes anywhere else and I think if tinkoff really would have said something like that one would read about it everywhere.

I checked his instagram account and it seems, unless he got hacked, they are really his comments. It seems 2 aren't quite as recent as I thought though, they were just only picked up on by AS and social media accounts today.

Edit: if you want to check for yourself, the first comment can be found underneath his most recent instagram post (the one with the Sagan photo), the two others are reactions to the photo of himself with a black jacket on, posted on October 4th.
