Just an interview. Not a lot of new info.perico said:

Several short stages without any test of endurance? Just no. Cycling is an endurance sport, not some W/Kg final MTF shootout or some 1-2 min glorified uphill/flat sprints.LaFlorecita said:Contador’s formula for great grand tours: Short stages, no power meters

A 100km stage with action straight from the gun is more a test of endurance than a 200km stage with a 30-minute effort at the end.Forever The Best said:Several short stages without any test of endurance? Yeah but if you always put 100 km stages teveryone will be fresh on the first couple and attackers won't get away. Just see AC at Arrate '12. He attacks several times but the big group is only 6-7 seconds behind because everyone is fresh.LaFlorecita said:A 100km stage with action straight from the gun is more a test of endurance than a 200km stage with a 30-minute effort at the end.Forever The Best said:Several short stages without any test of endurance? Not too many kitkats, Berto, you've already gained 6.5kgjens_attacks said:he gave too many interviews in the last 2 months.
take a break, take a kitkat alberto.

The pyrenees didn't cost him the tour though. And even if he didn't crash, judging from shape in the alps, he would not have been able to gain a lot of time in the pyrenees anyway. All things considered and assuming that he maybe would have been a little bit better in the alps as well if the crashes hadn't happened, I think he could have been quite close to Evans, but I doubt he could have beaten him.Netserk said:My understanding is that while his crashes didn't (particularly) injure him, they did drain him and in large part (together with restday magic™) explain why he was worse in the Pyrenees than he was overall in the third week.Gigs_98 said:Just like froome next year. Actually froome even goes for 4 in a row.Leinster said:Multiple crashes in 2015 too, and a team half set up to win the green jersey.
And Contador in 2015 was going for holding all 3 at once
About contador's 2011 crashes, I'm still not sure whether the crashes really had such a big impact on his performance. As someone has already mentioned he had some really good days which I think are unlikely to have if you are injured. That sounds more like he had bad days which happen when you are tired due to a 2nd gt in a row.
