I dunno. I feel like if he had been here, he would have been the one who would have crashed early and lost time early, then he and Froome would have co-attacked on the Finestre and worked well together until Froome revealed his mutant powers and dropped Contador. But I learned to be fatalistic as a Contador fan in later years...

There was a very sweet moment with Manuele Boaro as well with Manuele waiting for Berto and asking about the baby and Berto put his head on Manu's shoulder :cry: but she didn't get a picture of that

I reckon looking at those numbers he's taken a year off, letting his body recover from over a decade of racing then he's going to return at 60kgs for another year :). On a serious note I bet he does think about it, although retiring after winning on the Angliru would be hard to replicate
