So far, there's the second clen positive AAF - 1 day that everyone pretty much forgot about. I know I did. But Science of Sport mentioned, so it must have appeared somewhere at some time.

And now a third AAF in 2009 at the Tour of the Basque Country.

Thanks for reading the whole thing.

I wonder how many others have a clen addiction like Contadors

Would love to get a lot others samples re tested.

I dont suppose Contador will be asking for everyones samples to be retested.

Given that it is the sole basis of the suspension, I'd disagree on the significance of the error. But, as the kids are fond of saying, let's agree to disagree :)

I would have thought that not being able to convince the panel that his meat theory is likely (I use the word likely somewhat loosely here) had also played a role.

Ultimately as strict liability goes Contador couldn't come up with any mitigating circumstances (or a convincing explanation) when the onus was on him to do so. In that regard his ban is well-deserved even if the contaminated suppliment theory is not well supported.

That's a positive test for a Basque Country cow, not Contador.

The 20th of July is a typo and that test happened on the 21st.

Usually it would be painful to see a press conference like this, but in this case it's actually funny to see Contador saying all these things about not doping and being innocent simply because his entire body language screams "I don't believe a word I'm saying" :D

EDIT: There was one part where his body language was completely different though. The part where he very convincingly begged "If there's anything else I can do to prove my innocence please tell me what it is"

That pretty much reminds me of the pathetic press conference Ullrich held when he resigned back then (and I am an Ullrich-fan :-D) Only difference: The journalists at Ullrichs conference had the dignity not to cheer him. What's up with those guys at ACs PC?

Thank god, why fire an innocent man??

Wasn't there a rule that forces Proteams to fire guys suspended for doping? AC is suspended exactly for that reason. But I might be wrong.

This.

Still, on some level you have to feel for him. Many others got away with similar transgressions.
At the end of the day, I think cycling lost.

Yeah, of course. He was banned yesterday for two years (half year), and you think he is very relaxed? He is frustrated like hell, because he can't do anything because of it. What your little brain wants to see, is not what it really is.
