Don't know if this is the place to post - if not appologies.

I'm looking on joining a club with the possibility or racing in the future. Is there a minimum weight for a bike to race in the UK? Other specifications I should know?

If UCI rules are in effect, then bicycle mass cannot exceed 6.8 kg (15 lb -- or should I say 1 stone 1 lb? )

Shame if you want to ride a UCI event you might not be able to ride the bike you like without adding weight to it. The aero point is right, but be careful on the aero front they might stop that too. it would be good to have a choice though eh,
