Pog cannot help it. He's got that dawg in him.
I like him for the same reason I liked Contador and like MvdP - he animates the race. I like Healy for the same reason too.

He's taken a big step down outside the UAE set-up, tbh. He was hoovering up Pro Tour races last year as well as doing very well in World Tour ones, now he's been mostly outside of the top five in 1.Pro and 1.1 races.

I don't think he does. And Skjelmose is also religious but I think Christianity and drinking alchohol are compatible, so that's probably not the explanation for his decision to abstain.

How do you know that? Remco closed him down WITH Skjelmose. There's no way to know if he would've done it without him cause he helped. You say Skjelmose was losing time to Pogacar and Remco + Skjelmose weren't and make that conclusion out of that but that doesn't make sense cause in one instance you have Pogacar vs. 1 guys and the other Pogacar vs 2 guys. Of course in the 2nd instance there's more chance to close down Pogacar.

Also Skjelmose was not losing time to Pog without Remco. That's a lie. I just checked. Status quo. No he was never going to close that on his own, but you also can't say for sure Remco would've done that (sure more chance than Skjelmose, but that's not the point). They helped eachother.

Skjelmose was very important. Of course Remco was more but there was a headwind so it is good to have a rider with you.

I think I can speak for most of us but this classics season has been terrific! Jesus Christ, way better than last year! 9 out of 10, only because PR was pretty underwhelming after Pogacar's crash. A sprint in the velodrome would be amazing.

Nope, he contributed what he could and just had to hang on during the climbs. He helped make the race.

Remco just said on Belgian tv that he lost a lot of energy due to the crash and 30 kms chasing to get back into the bunch. He feels that he could have won the race without that, or if he started the sprint just a little later.

Terrific finale, every one of the three in front would've deserved it. Glad to see a big race where it's not clear who will win 10-20-50 km in advance.

Well, that was surprisingly fun! Great win bij Skjelmose and what an exciting finale. I liked it.

And that he won’t make the mistake again to be in front. Try to get a wheel next time.

With the chase after the fall it’s looking good. Didn’t have to go as deep as Pogi when they went. Own pace. Stay with Ilan and go a bit later. It worked out.

A really cool moment (I thought) was when Evenepoel caught Skjelmose, he gave him a quick gesture that says jump on. Basically, the kid took responsibility for being the lead chaser to catch Pogacar, and did not get bent out of shape by Skjelmose not taking big pulls.

Noticed that and loved it.
