Holy ***, he dragged that group the entire way and still won the sprint. Such an incredible performance that Eurosport aren't even disappointed that Simon Clarke's almost had the biggest win of his career.

In fairness to Alaphilippe, he was outsprinted by fuglsang so he was in a really tricky situation

Surely the rider for the year. Will he ride ToF? Maybe Sagan will get some competition.
Also, he can also eye the olympics

What the actual *** did I just see :D totally crazy.

And lol at the master tacticians who said Fuglsang should let the others come back. He was stronger than Ala and was right to bank on a sprint, even if Ala is punchier.

And that's why Fuglsang should have worked with Alaphilippe. Ala is not a sprinter everyone thinks he is, and looked to be suffering. Fuglsang beat him in a finish, just not for a win. Amateur.

You should stay quiet for at least 24hrs dude :D Fuglsand underestimated his sprint while overestimated Alaphillipe's.

Fuglsang lost this race in an intriguing and improbable way, I might say.

yeah, he obviously had to sit on Alaphilippe's wheel with what happened at Strade Bianche (i thought he even waited too long to stop taking pulls) but then he beat him in the sprint for 3rd anyway lmfao.

This is so reactionary. Alaphillippe comfortably beat Fuglsang in a tougher finish after a similar race in Strade and he won Milano San Remo ffs. Of course Fuglsang wouldn’t bet on beating Alaphillippe 1v1 and he probably wouldnt id Ala hadn’t been forced to open up a long sprint

That wasn't a long sprint at all from Ala. 200-225m and with a tailwind. His legs were empty.
