I stopped watching Kloden when team Telekom stopped sponsoring what turned into Astana and when I used to support Ulrich in the Armstrong dueling days. Now I couldn't careless about him (and Ulrich for that matter).

Well you cared enough to post in THE Kloden forum :D

And for your information, the evil that is Astana grew from the seed that was Liberty Sigerus...I think!

Kloden has been a good domestique on many occasions over the years, the most notable memory for me is 2007 TDF in the Alps for Vino.

Having said that, last years race was a little  on the being a helper theme!

But he wants another top ten finish! And I haven't given up hope that he could do it in 2013. Very excited about Saturdays stage to Ax-3Domaine. Just three more stages to get through relatively unscathed and all Klodists will be at fever pitch on July 6 :D

Indeed, Team Telekom later morphed into the now defunct HTC/Highroad who Kloden never road for instead making the switch to Astana.

Who are we all Klodists feeling until now with this Tour?
Top3, KOM, Green Jersey or what? :D

I had hopes that Andreas was making a transformation into a green jersey rider after his exploits at Paris-Nice 2011, but it seems that Klodi was just having us on :p

He is a top 10 GC rider, or top 16 as someone put it :D

Now in regards to these top sixteen hopes, it seems that Zubeldia wasn't the only RS rider to hit the tarmac yesterday :(

"Andreas Klöden described the accident which occurred some 50k before the finish: “In front of us riders started to brake so we had to brake also. One guy hit me from behind and his handlebars came up into my back wheel. Haimar was in front of me and my handlebars then went into his back wheel and we all went down.” Andreas was skinned up but believes he has no long-lasting injuries from the crash. Zubeldia and Klöden were paced back to the group by Jens Voigt and Tony Gallopin with Haimar requiring a visit to the medical car."

We can only hope that it is nothing more serious than first thought. At least stage six is a flat one.

Top 10? are you for real he will get dropped on Palhares(whatever its called). He is well past his sell by date. When was is last good result? Also he will be working for Andy, who will podium imo. Froome, Contador, Schleck top 3. Schleck may even get second he was Contadors equal in the past uphill so he may be better if Bertie has peaked.

Ah yes, I stand corrected.

Go Kloden!

Group Klodists hug anyone

Well at least he didn't do a Van Garderen :D

I was disappointed when Klodi was dropped a couple of kms from the top of the penultimate climb, though certainly not highly surprised. And in the end, five minutes down in twenty-eighth place was quite reasonable, just over three minutes down on Contador and less than a minute behind Evans. Andreas also passed a handful of riders I believe on the final climb, when he could easily have let himself lose an extra two or three minutes. He even finished ahead of Rolland.

Tremendous ride from Zubeldia with a broken hand, and okay effort from Andy. I suppose the team will be stage hunting now. So for me, Kloden to get into the break on stage 19 :D

Alas no stage win...yet.

A good ride from him into Gap nevertheless, and then backing up with a respectable performance in the second ITT. But let's not speak about the Alp...

So here we are; July 19, 2013. The biggest day for all Klodists. The day where Andreas joins the breakaway and makes a winning move stick. Yep, it's Le Grand Bornand redemption for Klodi....I'm believing :)
