I’m happy about the comeback of Andy. On the second to last climb, he had to drop back with some twenty other riders, including Popo and Danilo. He finished the race and was in a good mood. We are headed in the right direction.

This is very good, He looks like he is suffering and at the same time looks like he is enjoying himself. This is exactly what needs to happen. :)

Haha! Not a prayer!

The normal rules do not apply when it comes to Andy. Check out the amazing form he showed in Feb/March 2009 before being one of the best in the Ardennes. ;)

I offer all the fans consider that it is the start of great Andy's resurection and as a result start of great obliteration for all other GT contenders. That's the way I feel. :)

I really hope so. At first I laughed at all his petty whining and still stuff, but right now I really start to feel sorry for him.
Sure maybe he just needs to man the f*ck up, but if it's not right in the head it's one hell of struggle. We can only hope he comes back to his best level, afterall that would only mean we will get to have another great climber in the TdF.

Well I hope no one starts calling you delusional:D One step at a time for Andy with some latitude for missteps.

This! 3 climbers battling is always better than 2 and trains won't mean crap :)

Andy has taken the first baby step, let's hope it continues!!!

So Andy didn't finish today, but i think he is satisfied with how the day went for him according to this :

“Besides the crashes and wind, there were a lot of punctures today, too, but I think Fabian looked very good.” Like many classic races, the field was well diminished before the finish line, and Schleck was only one of many that didn’t finish. “I was pulling and there was a crash so I had to stop. I wasn’t in the crash, but had to stop for it. Then I had a puncture after that on section 5 and then with the crashes it became a mess with the cars. I felt ok today, though, so I am looking forward to Tirreno. I hope to keep these good sensations in my legs. I didn’t finish today but this is like a classic race where we go all in for one rider and the rest are left behind so it’s not a worry for me.”

Cheers for that. I'm liking how Andy is sounding. Let's hope he can get through T-A unscathed. I really hope he just treats it as training with maybe a tester here and there if he has the legs. For him right now it is all about not putting pressure on himself. Get the head right and the legs will follow.

Onwards and upwards Andy:)

Andy sounds positive, that's sure. And the fact he wasn't involved in crashes on difficult terrain is promising.
But the part about mess with he cars doesn't leave impression of fighting spirit.
Anyway, looking forward to T-A.

At which stage in T-A do you think abandony will strike? I think he'll DNF on the stage to Chieti (stage 5)

I really don't care if he DNF T-A as long as he gets competitive racing in his legs.

My hope he might be ready for April is way off so now it's all about July for Andy.
