Awesome :D will he get to 2 years

Well, the Lux national championships will be coming up in late June. Frank will still be banned, but Bob Jungels is a serious threat. Could go either way :p

He's always taken a long break between wins. Before his last victory in 2011 he hadn't won for a year, as he did the year before as well. Between 2006(2 stages in Saksen Rundfahrt) and LBL 2009 there's a gap too.(almost 3 years ) He just hasn't won that much at all in his career, and certainly not spread throughout the season. He has the grand total of 7 victories in 8 pro seasons. But anyhow, the lack of wins will not be unknown to him..

So we all agree that he isn't a winner.

Where would this forum be without him? Countless threads wouldn't have existed if this guy would be a terribly lazy student right now. He's the laughing stock of many Alberto fans, and he always makes up entertaining excuses like the ones you mentioned. You've got to give Andy credit for his services to cycling and its fans.

Not convinced MAndy's total lack of results means he's necessarily clean. Could just mean he is such a wussy that doping doesn't make up for it.

And this is where I remind you all that this isn't the clinic, mkay?

See, there is the problem with trying to discuss bike racing without ever mentioning the D. word at all. Moving long drawn out discussions to the clinic is one thing, but never uttering the word is as difficult as trying to win the TDF without it.

My hands are tied. The rules are clear. No D-word in the road racing forum.

So I should have simply said it isn't enough to overcome being a wussy?

I would be more hesitant to derail a thread with these questions if it wasn't the MAny Schleck thread, which is probably misplaced anyway. Wouldn't the Cafe be a better place than Professional Road Racing to discuss MAndy?

I also edited the post you answered.

And as long as he completes races (once in a while) this should still be in the PRR

OK, but I think he'd rather be in the Cafe than racing.;)

I don't understand this fuss about Andy not winning races. Didn't he win the TdF some time in February 2012?

I actually think it was in May that he 'won' it.

Now that is what i call achievement: to win the 2010 TDF in May 2012 is not for just anybody. But to "win" solo.. far behind. (oops!) far ahead, I meant. It incomparable

Off to some serious stuff: Andy to win solo the stage to Chieti with a Sebastian Lang-type of 1-man breakaway. Come on give us some hope Andy!

"We've got Chris (Horner) for the overall, while l'll see what I can do day by day," Cancellara said.

I hope it's true and not a bluff. Still, Andy might do something surprising in this year's TA if they are both going well.

One has to wonder, if AS wasn't one of the founders of Leopard, would he have as much leeway?

Don't think anybody cares about founders, unless they have a stake in the operation. If Schleck can offer something to the party (perceived or otherwise) moving forward, the team will very likely continue to support him.

No. It was given to him. It is not the same thing.

I'd say O.K. performance today from Schleck. Nothing spectacular nor disappointing, just O.K keeping in mind all the circumstances.

He can't do a decent ride in his territory i.e. the mountains, never mind riding a TTT with Fabian.
