I reckon Andy'll get just daughters. He already has the my little pony collection to keep them busy.
It's believed that getting a daughter is womanizer's damnation, you know.

LaFlorecita, a closeted Andy fan?! Live free, flower! Embrace it!

Men acting like women are ridiculous. Men are supposed to be men and women are supposed to be women. Period.

PS I was an Andy fan a long time ago

It was absolutely pathetic that he said that he didn't see it.

But that doesn't change that it was okay to race, just like on the cobbles.

EDIT: As for my fandom it's:
Boonen
...
Contador
Nibali
...
lots of riders.

Did Boonen not spend several years coked out of his face?

You suggest Andys behaviour during the Vuelta 10 was morally reprehensible, but your favourite cyclist is at least as bad. It's a bit contradictory

No. It was unprofessional. Tommeke did his in clubs when not racing. Difference.

Did you note how Andy being seen totally drunk in an airport was *not* on the list?

It is unproven. Lol

Anyway, I just can't understand the dislike for Andy. He seems like a regular guy

I don't think it's a case of actual dislke, but more likely some of his adventures making for easy ammo for the comedic stylings of the cn forumites

Reasons why I dislike Andy:

1) Still bitter that Sastre 'took' the Tour from Frank in '08.
2) Chaingate and the hypocrisy. Still bitter and with a 'fire in my belly'.
3) Vuelta '10. Simply unprofessional.
4) Gap '11. Whining like a crybaby.
5) Constantly checking where his brother is. Especially in the '11 Pyranees and Ventoux '09.
6) Only races to win AGR, F-W, L-B-L & Tour.
7) The way Leopard was created.
8) Tactically Inept. If I had to rank different current riders in Vinoness, Andy would probably rank the lowest.

Reasons why I would like Andy if it wasn't because of all the reasons to dislike him:

1) He looks good on a bike. He's in the category with Pippo, and in the opposite end of Voeckler, Froome & Evans.
2) Once in a while he does some absolutely brilliant rides. (Liege '09 & Galibier '11)

Wow, that's a pretty good list! I'd omit 5, I really don't mind that they have a close bond and ride together. I think it's at times tactically inept but there's a humanity there I like to watch.

The rest is for me, spot on and great post. I really liked Andy when he broke in the Giro as well–he really looked like a true talent on the bike and I'd not seen one since Contador with both the engine and the style.

<rant>The whining is one thing I really dislike about him and about (local) road racers in general. I've done a lot of sports and for crying out loud cycle racing at the local level is filled with more whiners, and douchbags than any sport I've done. Always struck me as a bunch of guys who were angry 'cause they couldn't make the football team getting their aggro on. </rant>

Anyway, can't stand a rider who whines. You have to have skills and love the pain and the danger. Give me a Vino any day.

Andy didnt finish in Canadá... Does he has any problem?
I asked in Burgos to Josu Larrazabal about Andy in Canada, and he told me: we will see..., so I think the team would expect something and nothing was wrong.

He wanst so bad in Colorado, he looked he was doing his best... he wanst selected for the Worlds, but... would be very bad if he is thinking to close the year already, becouse Lombardia is a good race for him, and he must fight and dont relax... other way ihe dive arguments to have a bad opinion of him.

There was no mention of something being wrong anywhere, I don't think he gave any interviews in the context of these races. In Plouay he was ill but that was a bit before the races in Canada. Indeed it is odd because he was perfectly fine in Colorado. And he said in an interview he hopes for a good result in Lombardia but that looks difficult now.

The thing about those circuit races though is that if you get dropped from the peloton you have to abandon at one point because otherwise it's too dangerous when the peloton might lap you. So maybe that also has to do with it. On the other hand it seems a bit odd that he got dropped by the peloton

Thanks!, I didnt know he was ill en Plouay and he talked about Lombardia.
;)
it is not an excuse, but it must not be good to travel froom America to Europe and come back just for a race.

He was father as well, but...

Wow Ardennes and Tour, that's new... Andy Schleck never changes regardless of what happens. It's a shame though I would like to see him at the Giro.

Didn't you see what happened to Wiggins there this year? And then imagine what would happen with the only bigger crybaby in the peloton :O
